Good end to a pretty decent movie in the genre of video games, as a curiosity director Paul Anderson, mentioned in an interview for years that filmed 4 different endings, but as at that time the producer had proposed the possibility of directing a sequel decided by this open end, unfortunately this idea was discarded soon and Andersona was best prepared to prepare the production of the RESIDENT EVIL franchise.

@@TheRbruin10 --- Agreed! This movie is now a timeless and memorable classic. Yes, this movie can be cheesy at times but this film was true to the MK franchise. If this film had more fatalities, gore, cursing, and a little better fight choreography (particularly with the Sonya vs Kano fight[even I could have fought better than these two fighters and I am no expert fighter]) then this film would have better ratings. MK 2021, on the other hand will be forgotten in 2-4 years until the sequel, (if there is another sequel).
