Thank you Izzy for the review on this generator. It is quiet like you said. I like it. I light that you can plug in a lot to it. And that you can use it for your home. I wouldn’t mind getting that myself. Thank you Izzy and MJ for doing a video on this. Very nice!

Perfect for my Winnebago sprinter with diesel generator. Sometimes when boondocking although I have solar it’s nice to have a back up charger that is silent.

So I’ve had my ANKER 3800 for about 6 months now. I bought it for my RV but use it at home (testing) for my electric dryer and washer and my refrigerator, which saves me money 💵 on my electric bill. But one of the best things about it is that it can power 240 and 120 at the same time. No other power station can do that to my knowledge. 😮

We have a Bluetti Solar Generator. Piece of mind for Hurricane Season, reheating lunch at a restaurant stop and if the power goes out in the campground. Yes, ours is heavy too, but unfortunately no wheels.

Good review! These batteries keep improving and are the future. Not saying that is nessasarily a good thing. Now for the bad news- 90% of these units no longer be working in 10 years. So essentially this is a disposible purchase. Other than that they make a good compliment to fossil fuel generators.

I'm researching fifth wheels for when my wife and I are both retired for full-time living. This seems like it could possibly be a solution for the battery bank, inverter, charge controller, all-in-one box. Am I barking up the wrong tree on this?

The vendors should not be able to call these generators. They do not generate anything. They are a power storage device that also contains an inverter to provide AC power. And calling a power storage device a Solar Generator because it has some DC inputs that you can plug some small solar panels into is also an manufacturer disservice.
@toddswenson4 ай бұрын
There is no such thing as a solar generator. It is simply a power storage device, a rechargeable battery. When you use the term generator you perpetuate the dumbing of America or even the rest of the world on KZbin. The fact that you can use solar power to charge it among other ways doesn't earn it the the distinction of being a generator or that it can generate solar. If anything the solar panels are the generator and that's putting it broadly. Again, it doesn't generate any power, it stores power generated from a grid that may have many sources or you can store power generated from solar, wind or anything including another battery as in the case of hooking it up to your RV via a 110v/120v outlet as opposed to charging/running from it as you showed. You 2 bring a lot of great content and I'm sure it's a ton of work and I like your channel, thank you. Please don't turn into another QVC with dumb actors saying anything the manufacturer puts in front of you. Enjoy your new battery backup. They are nice when the builders load them with features.

@@jamesellis2530 Yeah, let's keep people dumb. So many can't troubleshoot anything already in life mostly because they don't care, they just consume. All I'm saying is lets call a duck a duck and when we pitch a product maybe is we make a little extra time to educate, then people become better more informed consumers. Unbelievably you can bet that a lot of people don't understand that magic box is just a big battery and surprisingly it can be charged by many options, not just solar.

in all these reviews. no one ever says how long these batteries will even last running basic appliances and lights in the house. when i see reviews on the earth roamer rv and they say those things can last over a week on just solar charging the batteries. yes thats a million dolla motor home but why cant anyone just say that in their reviews on these batteries. how many days in basic lights and appliances will this thing last before you need to recharge it.
