Gun nerd here at 3:15 when talking about the 10mm he said "traveling faster then a 45" which is true but the 45 acp is a very slow moving round, probably the slowest/one of the slowest WIDELY USED handgun rounds there is. So that comparison is kinda flawed. Then when he said "hitting harder then a 9mm" which again is true but the 9mm is not known for "hitting hard " altho its a great round many calibers"hit harder" actually the 45 "hits harder" than a 9mm because it's alot heavier, moving alot slower so it "dumps" most of its energy into the "target " where a 9mm is lighter thus moving a good bit faster but won't "dump" as much energy as the 45 and could go thru a person more easily so there's a lot of energy that went to "waste" and not dumped on target, which ever round is "better" is up to debate but most would agree 9mm is over all better. Not being an asshole just a nerd, and he's right about the 10mm being used for bears before 10 millimeter was around people most people used big heavy 44 magnum revolvers for bears which you only get 5 maybe 6 rounds in a big revolver, where 10 millimeter are used in semi auto handguns and hold way more rounds and is lighter ect. I live VERY VERY close to where this happened. The 14 year olds brother died in a shooting also. His dad even said that this is the 2nd kid he lost from a shooting. I don't feel safe giving my opinion but I will say that the guy that got charged for the 14 year olds death, did so legally. He didn't go out that night planning to take someone's life but he obviously felt he had to protect himself. I would've never let my kids go out to ybor city, where they were partying. Its awful that this happened in an area with so many innocent bystanders . With that being said. This situation is why you NEVER talk to the police without a lawyer. This is something I have ingrained in my kids since they were kids. Luckily for him that exact moment is caught on video. He clearly wasn't the aggressor as he is backing away. Even while defending himself he only shot 3x it's not like he emptied his clip which I have seen videos of police shooting unarmed people whom they may have assumed we're armed 10 - 20x while they were "defending themselves". Hopefully he is able to get a good lawyer that will really fight this case for what is right. You would think regardless of what he said, the police would go off of the video where they are seeing it with their own eye that he is legally defending himself(pertaining to Florida Law). I guess because he incriminated himself by telling them what he thought he remembered happened their going to charge him with it. He obviously is not the shooter of the of the other people as 3 bullets cant possibly shoot 15 people.

I don’t live too far from where this occurred and so I’ve been following the story. I agree with everything that you’ve stated in your video, as buddy was defending himself and your points are on point. There is no reason for a 14 year old kid to be in Ybor City with a firearm on his waist when bars are letting out for the night. And then the dad appearing in the media after the fact…. Like excuse me sir, why wasn’t your child at home where his azz should have been? I also agree with you that the city is definitely going to want a conviction for this. When I started my embalming career, I worked a medical examiner contract while living in Texas. Sad to see. I have cousins in Tampa. Ybor city experienced a Renaissance in the 90s. Went from a bunch of closed up shops and run down cigar factories to a cool night spot. I was a little young to experience the nightlife but went to the area with them a few times to walk around. my cousins were big into the Florida breakbeat scene and Ybor was ground zero.
