That is so sweet. Every time I see these two together I cry. It is so special. I am 77 and my husband is 81 we have grandchildren we hardly see. They definitely don't seem to love us like this little girl loves her friend. I blame that on the parents who havent instilled in their children what it means to old people to see their family.

Adeeb . Very true. Parents make a big difference in a child upbringing. This child is truly a loving spirit that i bet was brought up in a loving and giving family. Our sad generation and society teach us to be wear of strangers for they could harm us. And I get it. I have two little ones who I protect from harm but we forget that the elderly just as much as children need compassion, love, patience and attention. This a very sweet story . 😊

This is why it is so important to cultivate our children's awareness of their environment. And teach them to invest in others. To think outside of themselves and to work to help others. Teaching our children to build community and respect for others. It's good for them and it's good for the ones that they impact. Having healthy boundaries is also important, but clearly getting them to focus past themselves is a win-win.

@C J I see it all the time in the grocery store...unfortunately. Parents give them the phone rather than teach them how to behave in public and interact with people. Thank God this was not the case here.

This was hard to watch but well worth the tears. I love their bond and the smile on his face and the look in his eyes when she's around reminds me of MY grandpa whom I lost in 2004. I do hope you continue to give updates as I know this is one of Steve Hartman's fave stories as well.

Cassie You're welcome. There are thoughtful people out here in KZbin land. Some of us, I'm sure, would be honored to experience your "craptastic" (made me chuckle) day. Smile. The fact that I was able to turn your frown upside down made it all worth the while. It brought me the joy I much needed today. Always remember there is someone in this world who cares for you...even if it is a perfect stranger.
