Thank you so much. I was having a hard time trying to read the installation guide. After watching your video I realized it was easier than I thought. In my case I had to connect the black wire to a red wire.

Thank you for this video. Just picked up this light. I found it easier to screw the ring on the flexible stud, let it hang, then put the glass diffuser on, and tighten. Also the copper and bare wire for me was wrapped around a nut. Thanks again!

Nice tutorial, thanks. I would add that sometimes the power is fed through the fixture box, then split off to the switch. Always turn off the breaker.

There is almost zero downsides to turning off the breaker (other than a slight inconvenience). The downsides to leaving it on can range from discomfort to bankruptcy due to medical bills to disability to death.

In a lot of reviews on the COSTCO people say the screws are to short, I just used the screws that was holding the fixture that I removed which were longer and everything went well , and I agree with pksangavaram with putting ring on flexible stud, then attach the glass and lift up from the ring and get the other 2 studs to go through the holes in the ring and while holding put on the other nuts

The bare wire is the ground. LEDs will still work but then the install is not up to code I believe.

What if I have 2 black wires and 2 white wires? Do I only use one of each, or do I use 2 black/white wire to connect to the wires for the light?

Make sure that all two black wires to white ones are all connected together

What made it easier for me, was to partially thread the two screws and then line up the fixture. The screws will easily pass through the cutout and then you twist the fixture to keep it from falling. Instead of trying to blindly find a screw hole through the fixture. It can be very frustrating!

You'll need to replace the switch with a dimmer switch. Connection is the same as a switch.
