This is NOT nonsense. I had the privilege of meeting Lama Dorje in Hong Kong at a similar seminar, and I am not an Buddhist. I had the dubious privilege of rushing him myself and finding myself pushed back. It was amazing! I was not paid to attend the demonstration, nor to pretend I was being pushed back. I WAS pushed back, without even being touched by him. Those who say it is fake, attend a demonstration and see for yourself. Information on their website is given at the end.

Thank you for this great video. I have lived a very unusual life starting with growing up in a VERY active haunted house. I have experienced many things that most people only see in movies & believe do not really happen in reality, but they do. This is a very beautiful video & I wish more people could experience the fundamental side of life that excised under the veneer of our social training & superficial existents.

IIRC, Star Wars "The Force" was inspired by Taoism. There is a lot of overlap with Taoism and Buddhism. In fact, one could argue that "The Way" could be synonymous with "The Force".

the subtitles are great. Well done to whoever did them. the guy being used as his student has probably trained with him for 10 years or more, and a certain relationship develops. not only do they know eachothers moves but the student also wants to make his teacher look good.. so he plays along to some part. There are some people who do have real chi energy though, i have seen 1 on youtube and read about 1 from wayne dywer who met him personally so they do exist but those 2 were healers.

one thing I find interesting about mr dorje (yeung) is that his background is hardcore fighting practice and traditional kung fu. these are classic high level kung fu skills he is demonstrating. yes many people fake it and yes everyone reacts a little differently to it. but watch, he starts out showing clear liu/ji movement, he's clearly showing internal power without any of the "weirdness" then he just keeps going. if you have not experienced this, or if your belief in pure materialism (which physics itself contradicts, BTW!) I can understand how you would say this is fake. but there is something real going on here, from what I see. not understanding something does not give you license to dismiss something. you can go back through u tube and see his progression, first technique, then internal power, then kong "power". old masters of tai chi, bagua, and taoism all have stories that are beyond believable to west. this simply means we in the west have not explored it. go show a iphone to an aboriginine, they would think it's magic. but it's not, it's just highly developed methodology. your comments are all recieved in the sense of adventure and the possibilities of future human potential growth...

+Richard Benoit you can't stop yourself, can you? I have a LOT of respect for others. I have a lot of respect for my ability to experience and talk about the world around me. I have a lot of respect for the energy traditions of the world. I respect ANYONE, no matter how closed minded, who trains in any discipline and tries to life a good life. I have respect for the unknown. I have respect for the people who over the ages have passed on all manner of arts so that we can practice them. I respect our untapped human potential. of which, this video might leave clues. I respect the fact that you are very passionate about your martial art, you think it's the best. good for you. I also respect my art and what ive been taught, which is the crux of this; you don't believe in what I have experienced, so your trying to shut me up because you can't stand it that someone might know something you don't, might have learned something you havent. but, I respect my own opinion, my own study and my own training, so just get over it, holmes...110% later tater.

It looks incredibly over done but then his explanation on how he creates this bubble is quite fascinating. He is also obviously well trained in many disciplines so who knows what kind of level he has reached, he also may be gifted which may send an inaccurate message that others can obtain his level of mastery when in fact he may have been born with a unique ability.

It sucks this guy tried explaining the science with the wrong terms. I mean ions? Coiling blood? He is talking about moving chi. He did his best to describe chi scientifically. Unfortunately, he failed and that made him look like a joke. But we still have to take into consideration that just because he lacks the science, doesn't mean it's not real. Because, it very much is. Just needs the smart guy who can come along and scientifically prove it. Speaking of which, anyone want the nobel prize?

When a person is really pushed away from some kind of force, he moves in different ways. He doesn't mantain his barycenter while moving like a cartoon, he would generally lose stability and struggle for avoiding falling down. Everybody can see that stupid man is just mimicing a loss of balance. Here in the west we are generally used to see cheaters in westener dresses but when we see people in chinese or indian dresses we usually tend to think they are 'more spiritual', 'more straight'.

Chi, energy, psionics, magic, call it what you want, call it fake if you wish, but it has been scientifically proven that people who train their bodies in certain ways can and do manipulate the negative space between themselves and other physical objects/creatures. If you want to call it fake, do so, but is it more fake than your muscles, because utilizing this kind of ability is the same concept. Martial masters have learned to use a muscle that we haven't that's all.
@graveyardangels

Be small minded if you wish. Chi isn't fake and neither are chi masters. It seems like if you live over 90 years and aren't confined to a wheel chair or hospital bed then you must be on to something. This guy is obviously middle aged, but look at the history. All of you seem so butthurt and for what? People like this are at peace. Unless you've gone up to this man yourself and know him to be a fake, shut up. It's much easier to dismiss something you don't understand than to accept it.

I am not attacking you. I am trying to show you that you've used what you've seen in the past, but not experienced. What someone might have told you or worse imagined, and then said this isn't correct because it doesn't fit those definitions. Its basically a house of cards with foundation to the belief. If you'd been there with this man and then were coming back to tell me its not real, i'd be MUCH more likely to take it on board.

I dislike using the term east and west, instead i'll say asia and europe/us. In Europe and US we think we have all the answers, and anything that doesn't conform to a very rigid structure isn't true. In Asia they think they have all the answers, and anything that doesn't conform to a very rigid structure isn't true. Okay so my advice - you need to loosen up your definitions a bit else this kind of thing will never be explainable to you, because you'll be dealing with a different rigid system.

"These people"? Verry open mindrer of you sir. Anyways, there are lots of studies and scientific material on different tibetan masters, kung fu masters etc and theis healing powers and thei abillities to controll and use chi. But you have to find the info yourself, the gouvernment controlled media dont talk about this, how could the gouvernment ever keep their controlle over people if the people really knew the strenght and possibilities they could manifest through their own bodies.

I presently practice Aikido, Yang-Style Taiji, and Japanese Jujutsu and I can say for a fact that it is quite easy to unbalance and "throw" an opponent without using any power. In fact, if you use power, you're doing it wrong. BUT... This guy is clearly a fraud. Having trained in "internal" martial arts for a long time, I know what it takes to unbalance an attacker. THIS IS FAKE. This guy's opponents are clearly throwing THEMSELVES! You can see that they are pushing themselves backwards!

An easy way to test this "energy bubble" is to use an inanimate object in place of the person. Something like a basket ball could be throw at the "energy bubble" to see if the ball will bounce off of it. If the energy bubble does exist, the ball should bounce off of it since it has much less mass than the human used in the video. Until they use some sort of objective test, this is just an act.

Hi Johnny, ain't got no money to buy real estate ... haha .... actually just think about 'herd mentality' and 'mass hysteria' .... sometimes it is contagious sometimes not, and it is a lot easier to do it on willing subjects. Tangible is: when a well aligned and balanced body results in better health and athletic performance. Good luck buddy. ..... nothing is completely right, nor is it completely wrong. 'Chi' is only a means to an end.
@tohkimlin
@tohkimlin 12 жыл бұрын
Humans are built up of the same building blocks. We are the children of this earth and its elements. Therefore the fundamental frequencies of our vibrations have similar harmonics .... and it is only a question of tuning in, like electronic devices connecting on Wifi, without password access. If our mind is scattered and scrambled with 'noise' we will only exist in confusion. If we can keep the mind still, then a wonderful new world of focus will enter our lives. Good luck.
@tohkimlin
@tohkimlin 12 жыл бұрын
The human body has inner tension caused by our karma, and the muscles try to balance it by exerting even more tension to hold everything in place, creating a somewhat unstable new equilibrium within the state of imbalance. Release any link in this delicate network and re-alignment is immediately necessary .... and this causes the 'involuntary' spasms and flailing. An aligned master is balanced .... inside and outside, like the Lama Dondrup Dorje. Namaste.

I very respect buddhist, monks and their ways of development. There are many incredible things they invented, for example, total muscle control. But making science out of your beliefs in reincarnation? There is yet no proof that conciousness can exist without body counterpart. I understand this is more way of living than kamehameha things etc. But I refuse to acknowledge this "energy bubble" thing. For the rest - the philosophy etc. - keep it up. I like buddhists for this attitude.

Which would give anyone, who would put this energy-bubble-master to a test a huge advantage. A better example for what you meant, would be the center of gravity of e.g. a human body - no one can see it, no surgeon can preparate it - but still no doubt it exists. And now I would ask you to think of the difference between the claim of a center of gravity and an energy-bubble. I believe I can fly, build up even stronger energy-bubbles than the master: provided no-one looks or trys to test me :-)

If you believe one thing will work, even if it would sound crazy and impossible, then there you made your first step attempting to make miracles possible, because you put yourself into movement, you circulate your entire energies to make it happen. Miracles will only be perceived as miracles as long as we won't try to make one or understand that everything is possible and it resides from within ourselves and our power to do so. Keep practice and may Love surround all of us!

I also perfectly understand what you are saying. Yes, I admit to a doubting spirit, also doubting my doubts. Since you judge my ego, let me point out, that a feeling spiritual superiority can sometimes be quite misleading. I'm sure, someone with such extraordinary powers would not have the urge to prove them to the world. I completely understand that - why put the ego (which doesn't exist anyway) in front. AND you say that people who disbelieve this are closed minded, on the contrary, you are being closed minded by not being open to different ideas of what could be happening. People who are open minded are open to different interpretations. To different ideas and possibilities. Not believing something is not being closed minded. Believing something is absolutely true is closed minded. Also doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing when facts have proven something to be true or false and you believe it.

Man, that video you sent me is even more of a ruse than this one. I have a good level of knowledge in martial arts (practice and study) and I just focused on the body language of the guys attacking. Man, they totally expose the fakeness. They attack like morons (no attack is like that), and when they receive the chi impact, sometimes they land on their feet, and just run backwards, without reason. I don't know if you notice that, but is totally clear.

There are a lot of so-called "masters" and fakers that tarnish what real martial arts are and what real martial arts stand for. This guy is one of them. You can clearly see that the guy being pushed isn't being uprooted or unbalanced. If you look at his feet, you can see that he is pushing himself backward. FAKER! I'd love to challenge this "master" and see if he can redirect any of my strikes without touching me.

There is a video out there where one of these guys gets beat up from one punch. Maybe his qigong is good but that student moves in a different way than the teacher is sending the qi, to me that's acting.

strictly talking about energy works (not karma), eastern and western energy works are radicaly different. In the west we traditionnaly use higher entities (aka gods/angels/demons/elementals) with spells and prays (we using them as energy tools); while in the east (and in parapsychology) they use energies (ki) that they build within themself trough meditations and a strict mental disciplin (they learn how to become their own energy tool). Modern paganism is a mix of both (east and west)

Pagans do works with gods, but also with spiritual energy (ghosts, soul works, sacred site, aura etc), life energy (chi, ki etc), teluric energy (groundings, Earth), light/dark/chaos energies (more complex than just demons/angels), elemental energies (fire, water, air, earth, lightning, wood etc), the human brain also produce some forms of energies (telekinesy, telepathy, self-healing, biofeedback etc)... Don't self limit yourself with religious concepts

for those who are skeptic, think about it for a minute...... If you were a master in all kind of martial art (watch the old video of him in the 77' to 81') always trying to push your art to the best, learning more and more about the science of the human being, would you wake up one day, saying to yourself ; Ha, I got an idea, i'll become stupid and i'll lose my time trying to convince people on youtube that this is not fake, that will be funny hehehe...... COME ON !!!!

@bradleycontois even so i am of the red man and i am to do what we were told to do and he is the yellow man told what he was told to do. but in the end either way we are all to unite and become one people and bring to the table all we have learned so that we may all learn from each other. so i can practice buhdism and my anishnabe way of life and im not doing wrong im simply doing what we were ment to do int he end and that is learn from each other.

He should pick non believers from random places which have nothing to do with it and see if they are thrown away like that. Or send him to MMA and see what happens. : | I do belive in energy science can`t explain and even go further and belive in people burning paper with chi, but making people move ridiculously with a "bubble" looks kinda fake to me, despite the fact i`d love it to be true.

Most Asian masters look disdainfully at public demonstrations as false bravado and detrimental for self realization. However the world has changed dramatically since East meets West and Martial Arts has became mere sports and entertainments. I firmly believe that Chinese Kungfu must abandon the mythical aspects of its numerous styles to sell cheap movies tickets, and creates a new generation of sport fighters to participate in world wide competitions such as the UFC.

Tai chi is nothing deadly, there is no volatile energy being used. It's a benevolent energy. like magnetic fields, simply repelling what it does not want to attract, as opposed to destroying or harming. It's kung-fu where you "win" a fight without ever starting one and being above all that nonsense: matter of fact it's how the ability to channel such forces is attained, through compassion, unity, health, understanding.

@jsmmount what hes teaching is the strength of love. why would a holy man keep the power of love a secret? there are no strikes, no harm to attacker. the reason more people can't do this is its years of hard, tedious work. its a secret because people are lazy and for the most part would rather think of themselves as badasses rather than loving their attacker into submission. would cops in asia bring a phony in to teach self defense?? also, I have personally been k.o.ed with a soft energy touch

great vid! to those who are skeptical, just hear me out. if you are willing, look some of this stuff up and give it a try. i was once a non believer, but i came into contact with chi and other esoteric subjects, had some cold hard evidence, and believe me there are very few other things that will open your eyes like this. just give it a try if you're willing, what's the worst that can happen :)

@tbonehertz instead of someone from the crowd, i would like to see if it would work on a high-level internal arts practitioner form another lineage. I've seen some amazing demonstrations of internal energy, some of which could appear a bit outlandish, but I'm very skeptical of this video. I also believe that in these types of scenarios, a subtle form of hypnotism takes place, which mostly goes unnoticed by student and teacher alike. It is not to say that there is mal intent though.

@SkepticMagician - lol. You're entitled to your opinion, and I respect it. Do I agree with it? No. So, we let's agree to disagree, and keep living harmoniously. Speaking as a psychologist, are you? Yes, the power of the mind is amazing. However, in this case, you'd have credibility in what you say if you were speaking to me as a quantum physicist perhaps. We don't emit energy? That's funny.

@BlackJackLG How would I feel? Haha you make it sound as if I have some personal stake in this. I'd feel perfectly fine about it. Also, test him out as much as you want, I've been practicing internal energy training for quite a while, and I understand how all of this works, even on a scientific level. You sound as if you already know for a fact that he's fake. The only way you can know that is if you had already tested him out for yourself and are speaking from personal experience. Are you?

@pitviper328 You're the 2nd one to mention John Chang, so I must look into it. As I recall (this was some years back), it felt like an electric shock below my chest that moved outward, diminishing eventually. I'd never even heard of such things till that day, so now, when I see things which stretch my credulity, I try to keep an open mind. But as another suggested, it could have been hypnotism or even some electrical device hidden on the lama. I just don't know enough about such things.

@SkepticMagician You bring up good points, and I agree with most. That said, I have no idea what repelled me. Whatever did, however, be it hypnotism, psychology, magnets, energy bubbles, invisible bungee chords,etc., I contend that I was neither acting nor pretending. Hence, for myself at least, the phenomenon was real, though I lack the ability to prove my claim, only cite personal experiences of the event. But I maintain that skepticism can be taken to the extreme, and thus dogmatic.
@Anrwi
@Anrwi 13 жыл бұрын
@SkepticMagician I appreciate healthy skepticism, I really do. What I find it equally amazing, however, is how some people believe that just because something contradicts their value system, it just cannot be, at all, for anyone, ever. I find such an attitude to be as dogmatic as religious fanaticism. Bear in mind that much of what we take for granted today was once denigrated by skeptics in the past. Skepticism has value, but so does keeping an open mind.

I think the energy bubble seems so effective because the sparring dummy's have great respect for this guy and consider him to be a master. I have doubts this will work against a highly trained professional fighter, like a top level MMA fighter, who doesn't care who this guy is and doesn't believe in his energy bubble. This fighter might unknowingly work with energy, albeit different; having conditioned your body on top level for years will create an iron will, which he will impose on others.

Lmfao!! I know chi is real from personal experiences, but the video itself is just funny!! I was thinking " why pick on the nerd geek the whole time?!?" And yes I agree that to demonstrate he should have used more than one person to throw around. I am not discrediting the master but just laughing and how clumsy the geek looked. For the people that made comments about it being faked, look up John Chang and then look at the shaolin monks.

The ones who are actually descrying from this is mainly because they have never been before an actual Qijong Master or Aikido Master. I practiced Aikido where we tried to developed this skills too. I remember one of the master teachers in several sessions, while I practiced with him, you cannot even touch him. You feel an energy filed repelling you. I remember once he dropped me two meters away in the air just with the touch of his hand.

@bassnman420 Not electricity, life force, air. Ki is simplistic and primitive it is an overlying noun that describes several possible subsets. This is simple brain washing, I guarantee you that the guy being flipped is a student who wants to "ascend". I would like to see this guy flip Brock Lesnar without being torn to pieces. If he could he would not be teaching in a middle school gymnasium to 20 people...

If he wants to explain Chi in terms of yin and yang, do so, but it really bugs me as a scientist that he's using terms like "positive" and "negative" and "ions". Scientists who have used voltmeters and all sorts of equipment have never found the presence of any sort of flow of ions in conjunction with chi. (See the KZbin video of that british documentary about the amazing Qigong master from Indonesia.) Many of the people who abuse the term "ion" don't even know what an ion is. Chi is NOT ions!

This type of skill is real. If you are interested you can learn it too. Be warned, the training is extremely hard and painful and it will take you to some dark places but if you can handle it you will have the skills you see in this vid. Check out Sifu H Won Gim of NY Disciple of Chu Gin Soon Who is disciple of Yang Sau Chung. Sifu Gim is a serious guy and only wants serious martial artist to apply. If you already have 10 years of serious experience in MA he would be happy to hear from you.

i am not a part of this group. go out into the real world and get some real experience: ask a tai chi chuan master about this; s/he would have a much better explanation than i am willing to type. i do believe you'd find it interesting that this "dynamic push hand" thing works even on animals. i say this because it happened in my own mother's home, performed by a tai chi chuan master.

thank you for sharing the link! however, that video deals with people who take advantage of people with an infantile understanding of the body's qi. this video has nothing to do with frauds--that video link you posted deals nothing with Lama Dondrup Dorje. This video is simply a demonstration and short explanation of what he calls the "energie bubble". This "energy bubble" is not a physical "barrier"; the word "barrier" is just his metaphor. i hope this clears any misunderstanding :)

"proper scientific tests" ... says who? what does humanity know about "proper scientific testing" and "scientific conditions"? people in the 15th century also believed they understood all of the "proper sciences" in the world. there's always one step ahead. was it also proper scientific tests that lead to Einstein's theory of relativity? if this "energy bubble" idea is accurate, and as well the demonstrations real, then we may not have a satisfactory explanation for the rest of our lives.

First of all, he has not made any money from me. Second, I don't know if this particular person is for real or not but I do know that the ability is from personal experience. & thirdly, anyone that just goes around labeling everything they don't understand as "fraud" is simply reacting from ignorance & fear of what they don't understand.

As much as I'd like to believe that this is somehow, somewhere possible.. This horrible acting bullshit puts a really bad name on maybe the ones who could actually do something like this. But I can say this, if there ARE monks out there that could do this for real, they wouldn't be caught showing off on T.V. or earning money showing it off. Got Damn Shame.

This isn't fake. Your disbelief shames you in the eyes of chi. You will continue being a skeptic until death, and by then it will be too late to activate your chakras. People never beleived in you, so it is no surprise you are skeptical. What jesus taught was faith, and this is what faith can do. "Only when your eye is single then your body shall be full of light."

All I know is what I experience. That's it, no more or less. Keeps it simple, this is what I was hoping to highlight here, in all of this to help. I've never experienced what he's doing to another. I've experienced it in my own body, autonomous movements of energy/bloody/the nervous system when doing yoga but that's the extent of my knowledge on this kind of manipulation.

You are still focused on you. Communication is for the people you speak to. They take on board (which is what we were talking about, not sure where you brought beliefs in) what they find useful or not. - That is what communication is for, giving them a message, not hearing ourselves talk. Its been an interesting back and forth however, happy travels.

Yes but you've not actually said anything, you've just said this doesn't fit my past experience so its probably not true. How can you know that. I don't know this man, never me him, never seen him. Personally if you are curious go to one of these teachers and see for yourself. Moving inanimate objects - to me, is less likely, as they have life force to move.

I have had no form of contact with this "master" so I cant say that I can have any oppinnion on what he is doing. But judging from my own experiences this is more likely to be possible than impossible.

A basketball does not have qi as humans do. I understand your scepticism. Its hard not to believe. If you choose not to, this is your path. But if you should decide to choose to believe. Research will be your light to this path. You may want to look at other videos such as, "qigong master". Its the first video that shows up when you type it in to youtube.

This is one true nature of tai chi, its very hard to learn and understand the concept but some tai chi masters told be that you should believe in yourself and think about nothing. If you think to many things you will never get any chi flowing in your veins.. Tai chi is a long term training like 3 years maybe or lower. Depends on the person who is in training.
