Are they really that pricey? Is it because there are many ingredients? It looks to me as if there are only small amounts of everything and she said to substitute what you have on hand. I think I have most of these items in my cupboard.

Instead of rolling into balls... Would it be able to cut nicely into squares if I pressed the mixture into an 8x8 brownie pan, after refrigeration! Or should I cut them into squares before refrigerating? (The 8x8 pan is easier on my hands, I use the back of a measuring cup, instead of rolling into balls.)💖🌞🌵😷

I love this! As a diabetic, I am looking for ways to bump up the protein but protein powder can be so expensive! It's kind of hard for people to get on a low fixed income. It really sucks sometimes. Thank you for sharing your recipes though
@lesliefischer66806 ай бұрын
Have you considered collagen powder? If you have a Costco membership, or know someone with one, or someone can get you a gift card for it, there is 9 grams of protein in the bovine , no idea of the marine since I have an almost full bovine. My mom had a throat issue where everything had to be liquified or chewed to liquid. So I was sneaking scoops in wherever I could. If you make homemade jello with gelatin and juice - whatever you can use for diabetic, blueberry, cranberry, low glycemic fruits. I added in 4 scoops, but could have gone higher with real juice. I add scoops into soups, scrambled eggs (I add water into powder first as the outside grabs the water and creates a powder bubble.) I add a scoop into a cup of coffee. Tastes different, but really helps. We also switched to the sprouted oats, which are like steel cut oats, so blend them down first when making THIS recipe, again adds protein. Sorry for hijacking the comment for these awesome balls that I can’t wait to make. lol. Today. Because we are always looking to incorporate more fun protein into our diets.

Carrots are amazing in everything. I love putting chopped carrots in my scrambled eggs. Why peel it through? You're processing everything together so as long as it's clean I don't think you need to peel the carrot. Def gonna make these tho 🤤

When I click on the recipe link to print, I don’t see where I can just print the recipe. Instead, when I use print, I get 37 pages of partially filled pages. What am I doing wrong?
@RannPatterson9 ай бұрын
I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong I had the same problem. She needs to add the condensed recipe option for PRINT (link) to the webpage. Otherwise you get all the ads. I have HP Smart which sometimes helps, but it didn’t work either b/c she hasn’t added a print link. Maybe she will :)) Sometimes I screen print a recipe from here (if it’s been written out) then crop my photos.

After you've added all the ingredients and its a crumbly mixture, and while the mixture is still turning or spinning in the food processor, SLOWLY pour in your favorite plant-based milk, in a thin, slow stream, to make the mixture come together into a soft dough ball. You can then more easily scoop and roll out the little dough balls. I do this several times a month. You're welcome.

@appvik74919 ай бұрын
@shipsahoy1793 Hi! I'm talking about protein powder. You probably shouldn't eat stuff you don't know what it is. No, I'm wrong. They now say the protein in the powder comes from bugs. 😔
@shipsahoy17939 ай бұрын
@@appvik7491 oh Idk about that. Well, look at it this way. Bees have been making honey forever and people eat honey or put it in their tea or whatever without any issues. I wouldn't just assume it's not "people" food. Humans are omnivores, which means they can successfully injest fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, nuts, etc. Protein is probably the least of your problems, bc you need it along with other neutrients. Exercise, rest, eat healthy, keep yourself clean, and avoid unnecessary pharmaceuticals at all cost. 😉
