I've got to say this was my favorite era of V8 supercars. Myself and two mates took a factory black XD Fairmont Ghia, 351 manual on the spirit of Tassie to see these cars race at Simmons Plains for the full three days. When we left the paddock car park we thought we would be late to catch the boat back. Two guys in a hilux near us had the idea to get one bloke out with a vest on and directed his own car through the traffic out of the paddock. We cottoned on straight away and followed him as he made his own way out the paddock. One of the officials was sympathetic to our time line and radioed us through the rest of the paddock to get us out and on our way. We sat on 140km/h were we could and ended up with an hour to wait. We got great accommodation at a little place called the Cressy Hotel, played cricket in the bar and had a ball. The race event was excellent and lots of video of the pits, poll girls, racing and VB ute challenge. For me the V8 supercars have gone down hill from then. Bring back production cars as the main stay. Just like in the 60's

@@callummclachlan4771 . So you're claiming that Ford made two body shells. That would mean that they would also had to of made two different rear doors. ATT : RUSS and PAUL: How about doing a skype with Oscar ??? Renault Impressed with Oscar Piastri ! Renault R.S.18 F1 test at Bahrain International Circuit Nov 3. Renault Sport Academy Director Mia Sharizman said: "I am impressed with Oscar’s approach for his first day in the F1 car. He managed to get up to speed pretty quickly and complete his run plan. We can see from his first day that he is capable of adapting to a new car quite easily, which is one of the biggest traits that we would like to see. We had good feedback from the F1 engineers of the performance from all three drivers and they can see that the level is getting higher and higher each year, which is a good sign for things to come." When asked about Oscar one of the Renault crew remarked "Kids bloody good."
