there is no terran unit that got buffed, the only thing imaginable as a non nerf is the new medivac upgrade which is not used because medivacs dont work the current way they are designed. raven nerf, cyclone nerf, widow mine change that should have existed with the original addition of drilling claws... if you wanna cry any harder go play the only race easier and stronger than protoss for the last 13 years in a row, zerg

@@SilverforceX no, much like the reaper the cyclone comes online after units that beat it are already in large enough numbers to make it irrelevant and given its shortened range, lack of speed, low damage, low health... it did not get a huge buff, it got irrelevant numbers move around. the widow mine did not get a huge buff, it got an unburrow speed change..a buff would look like 6 range instead of 5, fixed ai, not being able to be see where it is burrowed at a glance ...weird isnt that ultralisks cant be seen where they are burrowed, a unit that is as tall as a house...y? because it isnt a terran unit.

@@2639theboss Nightmare screwed it at the end there... but storm just sucks in SCII. With speed upgrades constantly getting buffed it makes it less and less useful. The worst thing are the MIDDLE OF THE MAP Speed Boosts... They're supposed to be around the edges or along alternate paths to the enemy not in the middle of the map. Hydras or boosted medivacs or stimmed marine/marauder should take 15-20 damage at most if anyone pays attention to a fight happening. Even the new drilling claws boost should save even more mines if someone is looking.

But its obvious to anyone with a brain that balance has been a disaster. Its not one thing, one unit, one matchup, its the entire toolset of P being inadequate for every stage of the game. Its baffling to me as a masters Z that i still see people who genuinely believe balance is fine and Protoss isnt dying.

Until they get robos going, they have no alternative, but double robo isnt an option either because it takes too long to come online. I certainly dont know how have an answer.

@@demetriogirardi2094 Robo play is where the cyclone massing is good though... even widow mines are good I'd argue since you have to rely upon zealots farm more earlier on. I think that was the case about 2 weeks ago where only blink stalker was the main thing that can handle the number of them that come out of reactour factories. Also since widow mines are light the colossus AoE does nothing & the immortal does far less damage to it WHERE the widow mine can constantly retarget to probes.

Lol even after the interference matrix nerf via upgrade delay it still destroy protoss colossus so hard. It doesn't seem like blizzard understand the balance. Raven a 2 supply unit can disable 12 supply worth of units in a battle. Protoss invested heavily in colossus tech which makes up a big part of its supply and its instantly countered by a single raven. Yes they delayed interference matrix with an upgrade but it doesn't matter since ravens needed the time to build energy. What they should do is not delay interference matrix but nerf it. Its primary purpose is to prevent units from using its ability, i.e battle cruiser teleporting away or warp prism warping in or picking up units. They should keep interference matrix ability to interrupt and stip units from casting spells but not entirely disabled its ability to attack. Auto attacks should still work or if not, do 50% damage. That way units like tanks and colossus can still do some damage.

​@@Mavarok284 Believing Nightmare defended the harass well is some major cognitive dissonance... but I definitely don't agree with the vision for the balance changes. Honestly need a major rework of the widow mine (remove drilling claws/reduce attack range/can't be dropped etc.) or remove it altogether. They are too oppressive in my opinion. And interference matrix requiring a cheap/fast upgrade is just a fucking troll of a "nerf." It's easily the best spell in the game and should require a two minute 200/200 upgrade. And the mothership core should be given back to Protoss. It was an awesome unit that made the game interesting and helped round out so many of Protoss' weaknesses.

That Raven upgrade maybe the stupidest most hollow change they have ever made. By the time the Raven gets across the map it'll have the upgrade and it's that inexpensive it basically just comes down to remembering to click the button to upgrade. At the bare minimum you should need an armoury before you can start it, if you intend the upgrade to have any significant effect, in delaying the ability.

@@ballsavage plat / diamond. Protoss is not a very stable faction, they need a better way to zone away enemies similar to the disruptor, which is fragile and has some severe downsides. Many casters and higher level players, including the balance council, agree that protoss is too vulnerable and many games show protoss weakness and fragility outside of the early game. Increasing the range adds pressuring ability options besides disruptor. Giving some of the damage from bonus vs light -> raw damage increases the utility and range of units Colossus is able to combat.

For real. For some reason, they nerfed warp ins, which nerfed Protoss gateway units. They nerfed Zealot charge. But Marine Marauder has never been touched. The Marauder is even cheaper now. It's the ultimate anti-armor unit, and it costs 100/25. That is insane. It beats a stalker easily 1on1 and a stalker costs 125/50. How about this: Make the marauder cost 125/50.

Balance teams needs to take a hard look at Protoss and look at bringing back key stat changes for protoss units. Give Chargelots +8 damage on impact back. Revert Colossus Thermal Lance damage back to 12 not 10. Buff High Templar storm, feedback range. Increase storm damage to 112 instead of 80. Protoss units need to be feared because they don't have as many like T or Z. The reaction to the colossus or high templar right now is on the level of "Oh nice unit you got there....anyways stim my whole army or A move into your base with mass roach ling ravager"

The speed boosts are too much on that map... You're always going to lose out as Protoss if you wait for storm as they can always run away. Speed Boosts should ONLY be for making rushes a bit faster from certain angles. You can facilitate this in the middle by making the map more direct between bases. With the way these are set up I think they need to be ALONG walls not sitting in the middle out in the open. When Hydras are so fast and storm is so weak that they barely take 15-20 damage since their speed upgrade is so powerful alongside Terran units with stim, storm is just useless to force yourself into... they get sniped by the early widow mines especially if you don't see them around the map and because it's reactour window mines from the start there is potential there and it even losing 75 gas and production time for observers... it's a damned if you do & if you don't for Protoss. You ose gas & production time for free against Terrans who scan meaning with no Collossi you need storms which aren't really impactful. Or due to the Terran getting them early you lose waves of zealot harassment & random probes perhaps or warp prisms going around trying to make stuff happen. Maybe it will just take time for Protoss to figure out the early game, but I think the potential for cyclones to be used is already enough of an early choke-hold without having to build them.

first set nightmare vs bunny, I like how nightmare lost the second map. Bunny just threw very hard and made many mistakes.. and at the end nightmare had batteries, probes, archons (better tech unit than MMM) and yet loses to a stupid scv push.. yes nightmare warped in units at the base of bunny but also was willing to sac his nat. I mean after many crucial mistakes such thing as a allin is the only thing possibly working BUT nightmare wasnt going greedy on forge and did not even build a third.. the balance is so imbalanced actually, and starcraft is supposed to be a strategy game. Nightmare stalled Bunnys push by sentries by a good amount of time, not doing anything to change the result. Really frustrating game experience. I do not think any race is really overpowered as per se. But clearly the Matchup is imbalanced in itself.

Nightmare is more a Zerg name imo, horrible name for a protoss player. Also, terran is such bullshit, saving a lost game by pulling SCVs shouldn't be viable. Nightmare did a good job...

I dont play the game but have followed the sence and watched tournaments since the beginning. These widow mine games are just garbage. Not fun or interesting to watch in any way and cleary skew outcomes in completely unfavorable ways
