Doris Jauk I can testify that this is a good recipe. You should try it. Remember to start on very low heat when you spread the batter. After spreading , then you can turn up the heat a little . Best of luck.

I just tried out your recipe and made successfully made appam balik as per your detailed guide. Thank you for sharing this recipe. To those who are trying this out first time 1) rice flour is a must 2) use a bigger container to allow the batter to rise, if you intend to keep in the fridge overnight 3) LOWEST heat is a must.....patience is required for good appam balik 4) her tip of spreading the batter as thin as possible is a must follow tip

Wow great, pls try it and send me photo. Be sure to rest batter for 45minutes at least. Measure ingredients accurately. Must use low heat, like that only u can spread the batter thinnly, watch video to see how I wipe off the excess until I cant wipe anymore, only consider as thin
