If you're ever playing blackjack, especially for real money, the most important thing to take note of is what the dealer has to draw to and stand on. I've seen so many people at the tables lose because they think basically anything less than a 20 is going to lose. I've won more hands standing on like a 13 than going for 17+. Generally if the dealer isn't showing at least ten lower their hold threshold (IE, showing a 7, 8, 9, 10, ace or face in this example) , they're going to bust. (Because cards with a value of 10 make up roughly 50% of a any deck) There's a reason why Blackjack pays 3:2, it's actually not a huge luck game, but a skill game. And you don't even need to count cards to do fairly well. Just understand that rule that around half the cards are going to be a value of 10. So that means (Aces notwithstanding) any hit on a value of 12 or higher has a 50% chance to bust minimum.
