I believe at this point(Mario 1), she was still Princess Toadstool in the English speaking countries, thus Korone spoke Japanese when saying Princess Peach and should have been disqualified at that point, based on the Pikachu = Pikachu logic! This is an outrage!
@2tonesg4 жыл бұрын
@bacon froyo Peach has always had that name in Japan but in the US it was changed to Toadstool for Mario 1. Sometime during the stream, she had asked if Pikachu was also called Pikachu in English (which obviously, he is). Therefore, going off English names, she should've ended the stream when she said "Peach" instead of "Toadstool." tl;dr the Internet is funny.

She has done so well, even if she was speaking mainly single words or fragmented phrases, thats impressive for any nonnative speaker of any language, especially if they may have never gone to school. I would never be able to get to a point of speaking japanese well ever let alone read kanji and hiragana and katakana unless I went to Japan or took many classes. It also made me cry a little seeing how she seemed like she wanted to cry after saying Kinoko. But still its great for the fact it was like 50 minutes no japanese

It's so adorable to hear Korone speaking english, and it shows her dedication to her fans. She's learning an entire language (one of the harder ones to pick up) just to communicate with her foreign fans better and I think that's what makes her one of my favorite Vtubers

@@bluwe8745 speaking from personal experience, speaking 3 languages (sorta) fluently already and going back and forth on learning 2 more, I'd say English and a lot of the European languages are about the same in difficulty, there's just some parts which are easier in some and some parts which are more difficult. As an example, the English language has a lot of confusing words, almost nothing is pronounced how it's written and there are so many words which sound almost exactly the same, this can be a nightmare for someone trying to learn the language. English is also an universal language so it's sort of forced upon everyone to learn it, but trust me when I say that about 90% of people who learn it in schools only know the basics that they had to learn and don't even bother learning more due to either not having interest or generally giving up. I've seen one of my classmates have a breakdown over how the plural for person wasn't persons and for a lot of other words the same, purely because they didn't understand how that made any sense, so the language isn't easy, it's just a must for a lot of people to learn
@tacitvrn.91723 жыл бұрын
@@bluwe8745 That’s usually because it’s been a “norm” to learn English. With it’s endless amt of loanwords and constantly changing pronunciations it can be difficult to learn from no experience.
