I really love owls and birds in general and I think that you captured the horned owls elegance perfectly. Also I want to thank you for this wonderful channel which really helps retaining my joy of painting. The subtitles are a great thing so even people from England (or Germany like me) can enjoy your videos^^
I love owls. Your tip about shading more intensely than we think we should really helps in a lot of art forms as well!

Love this! When I struggle and end up gut laughing at my latest painting, I go straight to the five min tutorials. The five min orange tutorial is a relief and the five min bottle tutorial is a win too. This owl may take some time and a lot of “laughs” but I’ll try it.
Hello again, this video was really nice as always! I finished my first painting and it turned out fine! I feel like I could have done more but I am happy I got it done. It is really helpful watching a video like this. Thank you once again for a good video!

Birds are my favourite subjects to paint. They're a challenge and there are so many ways to represent them! I loved this tutorial, and the way you create a texture without being ultra realistic. I prefer that style... but it scares me! I'll give it a try for sure. Take good care and, as always, it's a privilege and a pleasure to learn from you. Best wishes from Montreal.

The feathers certainly do look like horns or ears! Owl ears are actually off symmetry, one being higher on the skull and the other being lower! Oh and their eyes can’t rotate in their sockets so they’ve got that neat head rotation! The dark shadow honestly frightened me a bit but it turns out really well so thanks for showing that! The owl looks so fluffy with those feathers

This "grand duke" has an imposing look and presence, its colourful and light plumage and its hypnotic look express a beautiful energy. A surprise watercolour. Thank you Mr Shibasaki🗻♥️♥️🎁👩🎨
Wow.. this is a rough one for me for sure. But I've tried it twice now and it looks much better on the second attempt I just did than it looked on my first one :) It sure is weird trying to paint while being colorblind.. and I am also more of a musical person. But I wanna get into watercolors and art in general too! I also wonder (maybe someone in the comment sections knows it too), my paint is always either too thin or too thick and this causes me to make a lot of mistakes and often my paint is runny, even with a completely dried paper D: Maybe these errors will become less with more experience.. the next thing on my list is trying to draw plants because it seems more forgiving (have been following some flower 5 min tutorials with much more success!) and I also wanna do a whole landscape one day :) Thanks for all the inspirations. It is very refreshing to get out of my comfort zone to try new things and for me it is not about creating something perfect, but about finishing any drawing from start to finish, no matter how it goes.
How do I show you my cute horned owl painting, Mr. Shibasaki?

Shibasaki Sensei how did u 'mould' or shape yr brush hair to achieve the feathery dry strokes for the feather part? Did u use an old brush? I cut the brush hair to achieve some irregularity in the strokes... Haha
