It's called liability... Tesla has over 700 accidents and 17 deaths alone in the US with engaged auto pilot. Would make them bankrupt

$2500 a year? Tesla autopilot is free and handles any speed, doesn't require a special highway and works in rain/fog etc. Enhanced autopilot is generations ahead and only 1 time $6K.

@@AlexTheGuy and out of all those Tesla has caused 0. Maybe read and comprehend a subject that you're talking about instead of reading titles from news writers.
@AlexTheGuy Жыл бұрын
@@AlenMop excuse me? Those 700 were with engaged auto pilot. Tesla has the same amount of accidents with engaged and unengaged auto pilot even though way more drivers don't use that system. Why doesn't Tesla make it level 3 and take the liability if it's so great?
@AlenMop Жыл бұрын
@@AlexTheGuy I have a very hard time getting into an accident with autopilot. Maybe understand what autopilot is. It's not a full self-driving system. It's an assistant currently. As in other words every single driver caused the accident by not being in control of the car as the system is designed to work. It's pretty simple, be ready to take over any time. Humans failed, not Tesla. So again why are you saying Tesla caused the accidents?
@AlexTheGuy Жыл бұрын
@@AlenMop I just wanted to make clear that Mercedes is approaching it completely different, building a system were they take all liabilities. We will see what the future will bring especially with other companies like ford, Hyundai and vw developing similar technologies. In current state Tesla is more impressive as an assistant.

Trying to charge you extra for something minor honestly something that the cruise control can sort of do in a sense It's just pointless Man people really try to monetize everything you do when are they going to start charging us for breathing oh wait they do It's called taxes it'll never be enough for them lol

nope and I bet the chinese companies are still hardcoding because they do not have enough vehicles with the technology out there to train a neural network.

Do you always enjoy driving your car? In traffic jams? Or doing 5 hour trip and trying to keep your attention to the road all the time? Autonomous driving is really good solution when you want to relax and do something else than just watching the road.
@stuckontube Жыл бұрын
@Zripas Yes I do "enjoy driving my car". Also, I "relax" on my couch, in my tub or in my bed. My life is at stake regardless of any current technology, so I dedicate my attention to what's in front and around my vehicle at all times. I respect your opinion, but that's why we're all made differently...
@Zripas Жыл бұрын
@@stuckontube Cool, so you will one of those people who said same thing about horses... You can still ride one if you want, but not on the road... While with this system, its OPTIONAL, atleast now. You can use it or not, its up to you to turn it on. Forced autonomous driving are not coming for quite some time, so be calm, you can drive your car manually until you die. While some of us can enjoy both options.

@@chirrin1989 I have no idea what you tried to say by "you would not get stuck in traffic in auto pilot mode" like, what the what now? If your day shift ends at the time when everyones else does, you will most likely get into traffic jam, that snail pace moving traffic jam. So what gives you more freedom here, sticking you behind the wheel for that next 30-60 minutes doing basically nothing while still keeping you alert all the time and looked at the car in front or giving you freedom to do anything else you want while car performs most mundane tasks?
