Love the way you made this video... Simple.. to the point and no personality show... Thanks...

Thanks, Wildwood. I decided to make the vids a video-manual hybrid, so to speak. Great format if following along while working on the project...but very painful to watch if wanting some entertainment value. Hope it helped you get the job done. Thanks for watching!

My engine is a 3.0 L DOHC Duratec 30 V6 in a 2001 Mercury sable. I can not for the life of me find anything that is particular to my car. My engine is similar but there is nothing that looks like the location of the sensor you are showing. I have been at this for hours and I am still no closer to finding the location than when I started.

First off I would realy like to say thank you not only for the awesome vids that you do but for saving all of us Time And Money!!! I replaced my thermosstat and waterpump from your other vids but my 2002 tribute is till running hot from a scale from 1 to 10 how likely do you think the temperature sensor could be the cause of this issue? A little history on whats going on after the water pump and thermostat replacement I took it out for a drive and and it drove great but within 20 minutes the temperature gauge gradually went into the red and I felt a noticeable jerk going from first gear to second gear with a little hesitation coming out of second gear I do realize that ther is a coolant line that runs from the radiator to the transmission, whats your thoughts on this issue?

Will this turn off the small red light.? The coolant on my reservoir doesn't get sucked in into the engine when hot. Haven't over heat. I changed the Thermostat. There's no clog between the thermostat and reservoir.

@brycedixon61272 жыл бұрын
What does this do exactly? Can that cause the thermostat to not work right ? Cause mine shows it’s running hot when there is no leak

Do you have any video of 07 08 ford edge tranny temperature sensor says over the heat range im looking for location of sensor that regulates the transmission fluid so its not overheating ? And funny thing is for code P1783 there is no lights on in my dash just speed sensor fault only it shows.
@spacefencer3 жыл бұрын
the transmission sensor is probably internal (inside the transmission)

Not really, but it's a mess when the sensor comes out. Me personally, I try to avoid getting coolant all over wires and connectors down in the engine...especially because my Escape is 20 years old. You could probably fit a small funnel, with a long tube attached to it, under the sensor housing and drain the coolant into a pan under the vehicle. Thanks for watching!

@@GreaseMonkeyFever I have replaced TPS, ICU, PVC valve all vacuum hoses maf sensor as well as egr valve is working as it should. On my scanner i get different coolant temps from day to day. Yesterday when cold it showed 26c and when warmed up would not go over 62c. Today when cold showed 12c and when warmed up 90c. Fans do not come on unless ac is switched on. I have had a consistent spike in rpm's at startup. Goes up to 2500 rpm when engine is warm. Goes to 2200 when cold. It quickly comes down to where it should be. I am hoping the faulty coolant sensor is causing this. Do you know if the sensor can cause a idle rpm spike. I might add no codes shown for anything. Thanks. It is a Tribute 2004 v6 btw.

Ok everyone before replacing the starter 1.Remove negative battery cable, 2.Find radiator drain plug location (you can access it from the bottom or top), 3.Drain the radiator coolant into a large container, 4.Remove starter, 5.Put everything back, 6.Put in coolant.
@josht78613 жыл бұрын
You don't replace the starter. The sensor is near the starter.
