That new Ranger setup is so nice. That is my absolute dream rig, just so damn expensive.. Rough estimate probably $100k for the car + $50k ish for the canopy & all the accessories and upgrades. Can almost buy a house with that amount of money.. Before you even went on a single adventure. Now you also need to count insurance, fuel, service/maintenance.. I guess I'll just go camping with a supermarket trolley.

While it is a lovely setup I’d be slightly concerned about actually going on some tuff trails with this. The cost of breaking things on new cars in unreal plus all the possible electrical issues you can face with such a kitted car… I’d love it myself but I think you really have to think about what you want to do with it. An older 4wd definitely has its advantages being simpler and not so much electronics

I used to work for the Caterpillar dealership in my state, never ever buy an ex Caterpillar work vehicle because we thrash them from new we don't even run them in, we wore a 87 hilux diesel 4x4 out that much that when we rebuild the engine it went from standard cylinders to maximum in its first build, ie we stuffed it real good.

The Mits 79 is about the only reason I watch the channel, can someone please pull their finger out and get a proper high clearance rear spring setup into that thing! Westralia 2 leaf pack and hi clearance plates and shocks to suite etc.

I like mits a lot just don’t know what fits my needs best yet. Whether it’s just a tray with sideboards or 1000/1500mm dual cab canopy just for extra storage maybe couple drawers/ shelves while vehicle pulling a 12’ trailer that has the tent/ kitchen

Id take that Ram in a heartbeat! Having the extra power from the 5.7 Hemi, the extra room in the cab, and more stable towing is premium!

The ranger is just top notch. The adaptive cruise control and lane assist is amazing. You can pretty much take your hands off the wheel and it’ll steer for you to a certain degree on straights. I’d definitely go a ranger if I could afford 😅

I wouldn’t buy a 4x4 past 2010, to much tech so to much can go wrong with it. I’d hate to go through a few water crossings and bog holes for it to completely ruin the electrics and be stuck out in the bush while 4x4s from 1990s are driving past me
