Yes, I’m from Buffalo and we had them every holiday season. Found some this past year, actually.

Great ideas. Looking forward to getting this book. I have very little waste in my house due to the fact that I make my own dog food. 😊 as I prepare our food I save the cauliflower scraps, broccoli stems etc etc etc to steam up for our dog. When food starts to be a little wilted it ends up being made into dog food. My bunny gets some too. 🐰🐶 I make dehydrated orange peel for my tea. I prepare meals to use up the foods that need to be used first. Not perfect but always the goal. Another helpful thing is to make food and freeze it. Batch preparation is key too. 😊

Oh Carleigh, I’m so sorry. Losing your mom would be a tough one and having a new launch would be massively hard on top of that. You have such an incredible ability to make food amazing and easy and are so cute that I’ll bet even non-plant people will buy it! I can’t wait for mine!!! ❤

I am glad to hear I’m not the only one who buys produce that goes bad before I use it all! I assumed all the plant based aficionados had this problem mastered. I pre-ordered Carleigh’s book months ago for this reason. Just got a message today that it’s shipping. Can’t wait til it gets here! Carleigh is so cute, bubbly and fun. Everything she makes and does is entertaining and clever. Thanks for a great interview you two! 👏👏😎 Update! My Scrappy book was just delivered today! I ran out to get kale for some chips and I threw together veggies, sauce and lasagna noodles for a casserole tonight.

Chocolate oranges! Yes, they were in the candy section. Dark chocolate with orange flavor. They were wrapped in orange foil inside a box. When you slammed them on the table, the "orange" sections would separate. Yum!

Terry's Chocolate Oranges!!!!! The Scottish hubby has to have at least ONE every Christmas!!!! They come in DARK chocolate too AND raspberry too! Rip, ya gotta try''em!

You can buy them in Walmart or Target or wherever every year! I've never had a problem buying them Stateside.

Pre ordered in November. I am so excited for this! Thank you both so much for all your hard work. Carleigh, you are a true gem in this world and i am so proud that you are part of the vegan community. I have already purchased a second copy for my aunt and I plan to arm us all with this book. You are so lovely! I had a friend visit for 4 months after purchasing your first book and we cooked our way through it, then she left with her own copy. She is not even vegan but it got her a step closer!!! Congrats to you.

😋 I used to get a Terry’s chocolate orange in my Xmas stocking every year. (I think it’s a Brit/Canadian thing)

Here’s another thing to do with citrus peel: I cut them up to about 1/4-1/3” size, put them in an ice cube tray and fill the tray with white vinegar. Then I use 3-4 cubes regularly in the sink disposer to freshen it up. Works great! I use lemon, lime, orange…

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My mother is allergic to tree nuts, so I so appreciate you considering that in your recipes. That has been of my biggest challenges in cooking plant based and sharing that with my parents since my inclination is to add & use nuts so much. So thanks! Just pre-ordered your new book.
