That was way way way too stressful. And England did just fine, and got what they needed. And i went to bed in blissful unawareness of the follow up game. Phew.

Thanks folks. Who'd have thought that no cricket could be as traumatic as the game itself? Not least I'm glad to avoid more whining about fairness and the weather should things have gone differently. It's been part of the game forever, sometimes it saves you, sometimes derails you. Speaking of weather, heard someone mention on the radio that in a sports context, it's cricket fans that should be most concerned with the increase in extreme weather conditions. Well said. I'm all for spreading cricket around the world, but I'm not sure that being able to hold a Cricket World Cup in the Artic by 2040 would tip the scales in that particular cost/benefit scenario.

Yeah it's also been planned in rainy season and that's been known. So cheers, ICC.

It was short-sighted by the ICC to have a WC in the US/WI during the rainy season. It's too risky of a gamble. For instance, it rains every day in Florida during the summer months.
