Yeah he was arguably the worst player on the team next to Mainoo, who has the excuse of being as young as he is but still isn't deserving of a start in the midfield after the group stage. Aside from the backheel against Slovenia with a ton of space to play into, he's done nothing but short safe passes. Foden cost us two goals in two games, in a tournament where we basically can't score 😂 all he does is get in everyone's way, and since there's none of the movement from teammates he's used to at City (which gives him the space he needs to look good since he has no brain), he's just a spare wheel. The only real threat he could offer is as an inside forward off the right, but Saka is the only player getting minutes who resembles an actual winger so he can't be sacrificed if Walker is going to keep getting picked. Aside from turning back inside to play safe, he gives the ball away, and either fails most of his forward pass attempts before moaning at the intended recipient, or he fails all of his dribbles like he did against Slovakia while playing against a 37 year old who wasn't beaten once. He's offered no real goal threat either with his dodgy volleys or cutting across goal from the left. Time to drop him because he is seriously harming what little balance is there.

Bellingham's gesture is all down to personal interpretation! As an old guy, I didn't even see this and after watching it because of all the fuss, I still didn't make any link to anything lude. I saw the hand to the mouth bit but assumed it was his way of telling his critics to shut up! He's done nothing wrong and has kept England's hopes alive and therefore people should be proud of his hard work. People are saying he's played badly, but he's scored the most important goals of the England games and has run countless miles to keep us alive!
