i wasn't born in england but i have an english passport. klose and podolski werent born in germany but have spent 99% of their lives in germany, played for clubs in germany, and live in germany. All the rest were born in germany. This argument is so boring and so bitter it's unbelievable. Most of the english players all have jamaican or other caribbean parents, and rooney is irish.

They are also Silesians, basically ethnic Germans who had settled in Eastern Europe.

I was born in spain to an english father and an italian mother, but have spent most of my life in england and only have an english passport. according to you, I would be spanish, which is just ridiculous.

First the English call the Germans 'Nazis', now, your complaining about Germany having 'foreigners' in their team. Make your mind up. Typical though, you're always so bitter about the German football success that you have to bring up either the war or the multi cultural feature of the German team.

Nah, not at all, we just kicked your dumbasses in Euro 2021. And the crap you're coming out with needs some kind of verification.

Our Goalkeepers have been shocking at times - but the whole team was shakey after Sven Erikson's time ended.

To date, the England national team has won 3 times against Germany in competitive events: 1. England 4-2 West Germany (World Cup 1966) 2. England 1-0 Germany (Euro 2000) 3. England 2-0 Germany (Euro 2020)

In germany there are over 6 million people with turkish descent, a combination of born there, lived there, have german passports etc, that is nearly 10% of the population! that is just the way it is in mainland europe, we don't really have the same thing in england.
@richardtor30286 жыл бұрын
only 3 million...still too much, though
@williamSchmidhuber015 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. Less than 3 milions German-Turkish in a Nation with 82 milions people.. They are the biggest minority. They are biggest than other etnic group combine in Germany....

Unbelievable. Özil was born in Gelsenkirchen (GERMANY!), Boateng was born in Berlin (Also GERMANY!). Özils is 4th generation german-turkish. What you are talking about is race, not nationality. Kuranyi was born in brazil to a german father who stayed in brazil for 2 years and came back, and pretty much the same story with Cacau.

I agree with you in the most part, I'm not sure how much German Podolski and Klose actually are, but players like Ozil, who yes, does have Turkish in him, was actually born in Germany, so that makes him a German surely? Gomez, he has a Spanish father or mother, not sure which one, but the other one of his parents is German, so he has the right to represent Germany. I'm not sure how "German" Podolski or Klose are, but they, I think, using your theory the only ones who shouldnt play for Germany.

Klose is a German last name. He is from a region in Poland with an important German polpulation. Miroslav Klose born in Poland but has German heritage. Anyway both Klose and Podolski learn to play soccer in Germany not Poland... And they speak better German than Polish.
@Croyles11 жыл бұрын
Your prerequisite to be born in the country is dumb, that is not what makes a person a certain nationality. Officially its a passport, realistically it is much more complicated than that with a number of factors coming into play, such as how long you've lived there, whether you speak the language, where you've worked etc In the cases of all the players you've mentioned, yes, they are all german.

Wayne Rooney born in Liverpool, we don't make the habit of claiming a multi national national team. The only ones i can think of that wasn't born in England is John Barnes and Owen Hargreaves. Whereas with Germany there's Poldolski, Klose, Ozil, Cacau, Kuranyi, Jerome Boateng, thats just from the top of my head. Defeats the purpose of English nation vs german nation if you got aload of turks in your team for example.
@niklasschmidt2983 жыл бұрын
Boateng was born in Berlin.

Özil is from Gelsenkirchen.. This is probably the most racist commentary on a football video.
@cfcsteve8612 жыл бұрын
First i can tell you i never mentioned anything about the nazi thing i wouldn't have a clue about history as i don't care for it. I just believe that a football national team should have there own players born in there own country. Imagine if Poland could have had there own players in there team like Klose and Podolski? thats alot of goals out of Germanys team isn't it? it's not fair in my opinion.
@gorrgaf6 жыл бұрын
Podolski and Klose were born into families from the german minority in poland. families that stayed in the former german territories after the world war II. they moved to germany in the 80s... your arguments are invalid
@awukuneowusu4389 Жыл бұрын
They are ethnic Germans who both grew up in Germany. You are basically regurgitating a Nazi ideology that they are not "German enough".... There are several polish players that were born abroad like Obraniak and Boenisch.
@cfcsteve8612 жыл бұрын
wonder how many of those guys were actually "german"
