Give Heyes or Fasogbun a go against Japan - Dan Cole has been an excellent servant to England but it’s time for new blood to develop

Can you just upload the whole game? I don't mind paying for rugby but having the senior side and the A games on different streaming services (not to mention different competitions on different platforms each year) is killing the game. No one is signing up to Premier Sports for one A game.

Great players sadly most of whom will have their professional rugby pathway blocked by the prem being 1/3 full of overseas Irish Scottish and Welsh players and by extension ever playing for England seniors because you have to be playing in the prem to play for the national team! It’s time the prem closed there doors and stopped the top league in England being a training ground for the rest of the world!
@sisyphusonlunch55412 күн бұрын
Almost all of the starting players for this England A fixture are 1st choice for their clubs or are at least getting a lot of minutes this season in our top division. The squad included several players fans want included in the full England side right away - Ibitoye, Willis, Pearson. The squad also included several players from England's under 20 world cup winners who are likely being fast tracked towards the full England team like Pollock, Apoko-Fordjour, Fasogbon and McFarland because they show real potential. This Premiership season has been one of the best I've known for young players getting game time. I therefore feel your analysis is incorrect.
@marclawyer2789Күн бұрын
@@sisyphusonlunch5541 Perhaps you BOTH have a point...you didn't dispute his statistic that 1/3 of players are from other home nations, then we have overseas nations etc...England have to have TWO squads worth of talent to choose from (half a dozen isn't enough) just to be competitive in the 6 Nations, let alone against the ABs, South Africa etc...2003/7 was a long time ago and England have gone BACKWARDS in their ability to progress and nurture talent...but will bend over backwards for certain 'coachable' players in spite of their negatives ( Farrell springs to mind) I've watched Rugby for over four DECADES and it's future has never been so dire...
@MarkRiles1Күн бұрын
You can't be watching the Prem much if you aren't fully familiar with all these players. Many are in the mix of the full side, and have been regularly discussed as deserving full caps before now. I won't say senior side, as it sounds like they're the U20s or something. They absolutely are not.
@marclawyer2789Күн бұрын
@MarkRiles1 Erm, that's not what I said...even remotely...and yes, I DO watch the 'prem', but only the highlights these days (the standard of refereeing is woeful) and it's amazing how the England set-up can take exciting players and render them as under performers (see also cricket, football, tennis etc...) My point was and is WHY do England STRUGGLE to compete with much smaller rugby Nations to bring on talented (rather than coached) players..? England should have a recognised throughput for ANY good players that helps them achieve ABOVE their abilities, not below... Personality clashes shouldn't matter in a professional situation, but unfortunately the RFU seem to be stuck in wanting subservience rather than creative thought...
