[English Dub] Andy in Love (Gene Kelly's scene) from Les Demoiselles de Rochefort

Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (dir. Jacques Demy) is one of the most charming and unique movie musicals from the 60s. Unfortunately, it is sometimes overlooked outside of the Francophone world. The film was shot simultaneously in English, but this version has never been released on home media, let alone restored. I combined some of the English song dubs that were recorded back in the 60s with clips from a 2K restoration done in 2010 by Digimage Cinema. Ok this is insane….the English version needs to have a Criterion release at this point. Other videos talks about a “tv version” that many people have seen which is low quality but here, this is basically HD…so where is the rest of this film in English and in high quality. Bits and pieces obviously exist so it’s baffling that it’s just not released at this point.
