Definitely, the more points you make the more forced the markers are to give you marks.

@@Linscord i understand doing that if you dont know how to develop each point you make however examiners , from what Ive seen in past examiner reports, tend to favour answers that have a large amount of development as it shows good inference and understanding of the text.

check out his other videos on timing, he says to start with question 5 and spend 45 minutes on it then go to the reading and planning spend 15 minutes, 5 - 6 minutes on reading, 3 minutes on planning Q2, 3 minutes on planning Q3 and 4 minutes on planning Q4. Then do question 1 and spend 5 minutes. Then move on to question 2 spend 10 minutes, and do 2 paragraphs. Then do question 3, spend 13 minutes, and do 2 - 3 paragraphs. Then do question 4, spend 17 minutes and do 3 paragraphs.

Is it possible to get the full 12 marks with only just 2 paragraphs? I figure that writing 2 paragraphs for 8 marks is enough (in lang P1) but for 12 marks I thought 3 would be ideal.

no you don't lose marks because you're assessed on the quality of what you write, not necessarily quantity. It's easier to get 12/12 with 2 detailed paragraphs than 3 half-assed, rushed/incomplete paragraphs. Also, under exam conditions and pressure it's unlikely you'll be able to do 3 paragraphs

My teacher marked my 2 paragraphs she said that if I write one paragraph then I will get 16/16. But then again quality is important. To be on the safer side I'd personally write 3 paragraphs, but it can depend on your writing speed and how fast you can write your paragraphs.

for Q4 (16 marks) you should ideally do 3 paragraphs [or 4 if you have time but this isn't necessary to get 16/16] but since Q3 is 12 marks then 2 paragraphs is plenty under exam conditions, as it's easier to get the initial 6-8 marks of the total 12 marks than it is to get the remaining 4 marks

some people write alot for a question but it turns out to be mainly waffle and only get limted amount of marks so how many paragraphs you wrirte is not the biggest factor but make sure you at least write enough for each question and not write loads for a question with fewer marks :)

In what I try to write after learning such greatness that is improving how to write , in structured order while think it out to say it (p) the additional thoughts while learning to stay in order of structuring my thoughts into somekind of cohesiveness I often struggle but getting better is my focus as i attempt to explain the other parts of the pretzel that is about what to try after learning of the weather conditions in that situation explained , not that advanced yet but I try (R) the weather conditions when the snow was biting the face, chilling in itself and must have needed and caused a need be with self caring items, like hot totty teas that can possible better break the freezing air bite (E) once , you drink a cup of hot to warm tea totty of honey and warm to hot water with opinion of sprinkles of red pepper , or lemon to break up the shiver it must have brought after that ( Z)FREEZE bit (E) when making additional hot tea totties of those freeze colds to prevent anykind of shiver made of the cold FREEZE felt just from learning of it (L) as I try to learn Again , just trying to do what you are teaching and it make differences that not everyone might not know but I know the major difference in what I just tried to explain and I know the vobaulaty , structure , comparison with elements , and sentence structure needs more for me to focus but I try And , have a cup of hot tea with honey too , if any kind of freeze like that ! Or not feeling that good with hands covering the warmth of the cup to ever gulp of it's tea... ( Did not know how to put it in the writing as I was thinking an additional saying and something like what I tried today's learning tutorial ) And cortisone and ever market is must have item in cabinet when traveling because I think the learning was about traveling slops knocking into all kinds of things , reminding to sanitize and gargle with small amount Luke warm to salt water whenever being in cold weather like I tried to explain and continue to try... Thank you for letting me try to be better !

I used the same structure, I use advanced vocabulary and linguistic devices. I tried my best but my teacher told me it was only a 9/12, as I need to talk about language from the beginning in the paragraph and not leave it till the middle/end. I'm really confused, can someone help me?

Like he said, the 2 'E's are the most important. If u lost ur 3 marks, its probably because your analysis isn't detailed enough. Maybe check with ur teacher how u could improve it. I personally recommend an alternative analysis, but keep it succinct. Remember though u aren't being marked on vocab here But yeah, 3 paras, good detail = FULL MARKS.
