I didn't think this one was going to go so well for me...but John...I smashed it! If I could show you images of my muffin efforts.. you'd be proud of me! They all look like they're straight out of a Warburtons packet! 😊 I ended up making 10 (and they were still a good size, too). I've got 9 left because naturally...I had to have a taste test. Wow! Delicious. I would say if using a non stick not to start wth your pan too hot,take it slow and get them cooked through before getting any colour on them.

I've been continuously amazed at the breadth and depth of your skills John. I used to just do a general YT search for anything I wanted to learn, Now I use your channel's search to find out how you would make it and just start with that. Recently searched for "hollandaise" to see how you would make it and did not find anything. Was looking at trying to make these muffins, a poached egg and to try hollandaise sauce for the first time. Am I misspelling it or did you make it as part of another video? Some of your videos make 3-5things to build up into a final product and this might be one of those things. Anyway, as always thumbs up for videos and can't wait to try these muffins soon.

Made these today. I have a center griddle on my stove and thought it would be perfect to do this with. However, I did not count on it being so hot, even at its lowest setting. The muffins looked perfect and were cooked through, but were a bit doughy, not quite 'done'. So, I broke out my large square cast iron skillet and very gingerly reheated them until they were fully done. They look like something straight out of a restaurant, but taste much, much better. I just canned up a couple gallons of figs from my tree, they'll be a perfect match together.

The local shops here in Japan were selling English muffins a lot recently, but it seems it was a seasonal thing because I can't find them anywhere anymore!
