Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “A change in bad habits leads to a change in life.” Editorial is related to the recent presidential election in the Philippines. In my opinion:- Recently, Mr. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. the son of former autocrat Ferdinand Marcos won the presidential election with full majority and he will take oath as the next President of the Philippines soon. It is a big political change in the Philippines politics. Mr. Marcos thanked the people those who voted and trusted on him. He also assured that his first priority would be work for the development of the country and for the people too. Mr. Ferdinand Marcos who was the father of Marcos Jr. has been elected twice as the President of the Philippines. In the year1984, he was ousted from power with the help of a movement as there were many allegations against him regarding misusing of country’s money. After that he along with his family stayed out from the country from 1984 to 1991. Before the election, Mr. Jr. adopted to avoid participating in any debates, giving media interviews etc. After winning the election, he addressed the media and in his first address he underlined that he would be known for his work not for his ancestors. Over two decades, the people of the Philippines have experienced/faced many problems and now they have shown their trust on Mr. Jr. so he must try to reduce their concerns/worries with the help of launching new schemes for all especially the vulnerable people. Besides, a fair enquiry in connection with looting of country’s exchequer must be ordered. This will help him for winning the trust of the country’s people in upcoming days.
