Awesome!! One question, what's the white stuff you dip the tip into, and what is that used for? (It's on the table at the end of the video)
@TriadoCustomEngraving3 жыл бұрын
Hello Norman, whenever you’re engraving something metal you want to use some kind of lubricant to extend the life of your burrs and bits. I use a product called Pro-Cut Lubricant, I also talk about it in my “Engraving Burrs” video.

How do you pick a spot to start etching the cup. Do you just start or is there a reason you start in a specific spot?
@TriadoCustomEngraving3 жыл бұрын
Good question. Since I use carbon paper to trace my design on to the cup I tend to start at the bottom of the cup and work my way up to avoid erasing my carbon paper trace lines.

Your videos made me take an interest in engraving metal cups, I love the results you get! 😍 Being in Europe, though, I can't find any of those burrs you suggested (it looks like Fox Germany ones are sold in the USA only). Any other suggested brands? 😕
@TriadoCustomEngraving3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, cups are awesome to engrave on and display your work. As far as different sources or companies that you can look in to. I like Dedeco, they make quality stuff. Not sure if they have European market though. Grainger is also another source that I use, but I think it’s U.S. only as well. Best thing I can recommend to you is to go around your area and search for jewelry craft supply stores. They would have all of the stuff that you will need. A lot of precision burrs are usually sold in those types of stores. Also Alibaba might have something, but I only bought something there once.

@@ordnaelshideout if you look at places like cooks gold, cousinsuk.com and metalclay.co.uk you can buy burrs from there. I have bought from the last two and bought a foredom from cousins as best price I could find.

Awesome work bro , what kind of burrs do you use diamond tip?
@TriadoCustomEngraving Жыл бұрын
Thank you man, I used to use Diamond burs until I started using tungsten carbide. They last a lot longer and I like the way they cut.

Do u have any experience with the K1070 motor?
@TriadoCustomEngraving3 жыл бұрын
Hey Andijvie, I don’t but I heard that they are very similar as far as power goes, although K1070 costs double the amount that K1060 does. There is probably not that much of a difference.
@andijvie31193 жыл бұрын
@@TriadoCustomEngraving The handpiece of the K1060 has almost twice the torque in comparison with the K1070 so I was wondering if its worth it. How do you like your K1060, is it a “powerhouse”.
@TriadoCustomEngraving3 жыл бұрын
What type of work are you trying to do with it? I wouldn’t call it a power house but it’s capable of engraving metals such as brass, copper and aluminum. Harder metals such as steel and stainless you might have difficulty with so I use my Dremel 4000 instead for that reason.

Yup this thing can do that. I think that’s honestly what it was made for anyway. I feel like K1070 is more for wood working and stone carving.
