Is there a way that the throttle can be limited to just a walking speed throttle? (Would that be P8?) Then we can Pedal Assist up to 28? (Or should it be 15?)
@Liam.T4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately the assisted walk is built into the plus button and won't let you set it in the settings, so no I'm afraid not. When I had the throttle I think the least I got it down to was like 10 mph Ish... I too wanted to say yes officer it's just a walk assist. But was forced to take it off in the end.

By the way if anybody works out the cruise control P17 setting that would be greatly helpful, I have no idea. Nor do I understand p9 bike startup setting.

Hi - new subscriber here - I was looking back at your earlier posts on this bike. You were initially highly dubious about it, so it's good to see that over an extended test it seems to have proven itself. Definitely on my short list ...
@ModProjects43064 ай бұрын
I was more dubious at Engwe build quality. Took some balls for them to contact me and call me out, I was their biggest pain in the arse at the time. In fairness they said I could say anything about the bike … if you’ve not seen my review of this bike I had the point of view of torturing it til it broke. I didn’t break. In fact, it just kept going. Hence me keeping it and investing time money in modding it. Best bike I own or have so far come across in the uk. That 52v and the torque sensor are a marriage made in heaven.

I received this bike today. I like how soft it rides. However coming from a very basic electric stepthrough bike with cadence sensor, I was expecting the torque sensor to be an upgrade. I really dislike the fact that it accelerates to about 25-27km/h and then abrubtly swithing of the pedal assist until the bike gets to 23-24km/h when the cycle begins again. Very frustrating not having a stable and constant flow. Hope I find a way to 'downgrade' it to a cadence sensor, fake peddeling seems far more enjoyable then the way it rides right now.
@ModProjects43062 ай бұрын
@@misteragony it takes some getting used to, but I far prefer it to a cadence sensor. It works better without a throttle. This increase range. Trust me, just give it a week or two.
@misteragony2 ай бұрын
@@ModProjects4306 Today I removed the throttle: I removed the lever and glued a magnet on the sensor. So now the throttle doesn't work anymore but the (silly sounding) horn does. I took it for another spin today, this is what I learned: when unlocked and at PA4, it rides smooth at about 30kmh. PA5 is really to fast for me. Locked at 25kmh however: the bike accelerates very quickly and overshoots to about 27kmh, then the engine shuts down. I keep peddeling, but since the bike is quite heavy, in a few seconds I hit 24.1kmh. At that point the bike accelerates and overshoots again, etc... the constant accelerating/slowing down makes it very unconformtable.
@mainrealworld2 ай бұрын
@@misteragony The exact issue im having. The only way to make it smoother is unlocking the speed use it in pas 3-4 and decrease pedal sensitivy, also turn on cruise control. With this u can keep the speed without jrk-off engine effect.
