It took me 18 years to figure out what I need to do as a 5. RESEARCH! After several jobs, I've decided to go back to school and get a PhD in Neuropsychology so I can research in relative isolation hahaha! Have you thought about a research job??

@@ms.rainh20teachesart that career path sounds amazing. I actually have been debating on going to school for psychology. I find people complex like a complicated machine, and the challenge of figuring them out is enjoyable for me. Troubleshooting problems and finding answers is what I find fulfilling. I have never been paid to use my brain, and because I am paid so well in my current profession I find it hard to leave. I am not a risk taker when I feel I can’t control the risk. Starting over in life is such a risk I fear it. I have also been debating on going to art school and just becoming a full time artist, since I do a lot of that already. Again, same issue, risk. At some point I need to battle my anxiety and win lol.

I've struggled with major health problems most of my life and had to literally figure them out without the help of doctors. I've fixed myself from being suicidal and full of rage, to extremely calm and joyful. And I credit being a five for having enough curiosity to comb through the details. I've saved my own life. The down side to being a five though comes with romance sometimes. I have to trial and error social experiments to learn how people react and ostensibly, why. I don't know if I'm on the spectrum - but might as well be. I'm happy though so who cares

This is more accurate to my personality. I did a online test. It told me I am either type 3 or type 5 . Type 5 seem more accurate. Because my motivation always goes up and down

I just did a test and this makes a lot of sense to me. I read about a few other of the types but none of them really made much sense, but 5 feels like coming home after a journey, it just makes a whole deal of sense. I am also an INTJ and the two overlap and correlate quite a lot. I am always trying to develop new knowledge and this is far more important to me than things like material possessions which just don't matter to me at all. Thank you for the video, it is very interesting.

@@tearamen In theory yes. Nines are sleepy on the inside, not necessarily on the outside. The Self-Preservation 9 can be very stubborn about ensuring they feel physically comfortable, and the Social Nine is very focused on ensuring the group is doing well. Thinking of the ENTP in terms of of cognitive functions, it could be an overactive Extraverted Feeling function, or a different expression of the Ne/Ti combination. Dario Nardi's talks about there being four varieties of of each the 16 types, not sure if that's in his latest book or just research he has shared online.

I guess most INTJs are type 5? Especially for the need to be independent and live minimalistic, they got to be INTJs. I feel these two things very strongly, to be independent and not be extravagant at all.
@TruityLabs
@TruityLabs Жыл бұрын
While that is a tendency, INTJs can be other Enneagram types. For example, I have met an INTJ who is an Enneagram 3. All IJs display Feverish tendencies, but it's important to look beyond the surface level behaviours to the deeper motivations.

@@TruityLabs precisely why I said "most" and as you have put it, I share traits of 5 and 3 combined. It is a matter of pride for me to succeed by myself without taking much help from others (and no help at all if possible). I value self reliance more than anything which I want to use to achieve high success so that my self reliance has a meaning. Although I differ from 3s in a way that I usually don't much crave for attention, and my success is mostly for personal satisfaction. Occassional attention does feel good though, but more than that will get on my nerves. edit - after reading a bit more, it seems like I'm a heavy 5w6, with success being my personal cookie jar so that I can't see myself as a failure. However I do have this innate extreme desire to succeed and improve constantly, which is a parameter common for both 3 and for 6 in a sense that I want to be able to handle any situation in life(for 6) and can give high success as well(for 3)
