Im a 7 and my bf is 9. We are similar and yet so opposite in a good way, but he helps me to grow as a person and learn new things. It's a good duo.

It's weird... I just feel like both. I definitely relate MUCH more to type 9, but at the same time, I really lovr to stay active - doing stuff like playing video games, and such. I don't need to stay that way all the time, but from what I keep hearing, I'm definitely more active than how a 9 should prolly be. And I also tend to jump from thing to thing, leaving projects unfinished and procrastinate (tho the last one could prolly be typical of 9's as well). But even then, I just feel like I could not relate to any other type more than I could to 9...

I am a 9 and I feel the same. I'm always active, and I run away from problems or jump from project to project. I physically love doing things and love to be on the go. But I definitely don't make myself big in conflict situations at least at work, outside of work I will. At work I'd rather make myself small and let others take the lead because at the end of the day it's just a job and my energy is better spent at home and on myself. Home life/social life I let my opinion be known and rarely let others walk on me. I guess people just can't be accurately labeled by a number.

I’ve watched a LOT of enneagram videos... and you explain things more clearly than anyone. It’s a gift, I hope you are still working with/teaching the enneagram

Hi! I'm new to Enneagram and going through this dilemma if I am a 7 or 9
@nickbaldi51987 жыл бұрын
I'm new to Enneagram. I tested as 9w1 which seems fairly accurate thus far. I keep a lot of my opinions to myself unless I feel very safe. I'm also constantly aware of surroundings and if I am in a person's way and seeing where others are going.

Hey Nick, so cool that you've discovered this tool! Tests are helpful, but I always recommend that people read more into their results before identifying fully-- my blog (enneagramgirl.wordpress.com) and "The Wisdom of The Enneagram" are both sources I'd totally recommend. I hope the Enneagram helps you to understand and grow, as it was designed to do! :)

Nick i'm exactly the same. I'm always wary of being in others way. Also 9w1.

Oh wow, I just commented on one of your 2015 blog post. Nice to see you have a KZbin channel. Definitely, feel I'm a 9. I discovered your blog right after searching "Self-Forgetting". I don't think I always been one to become small, but after seeking the wrong validation from a "best friend" in my early childhood I wanted not only him to accept me, but his peers who didn't. Ever since it feels as if I lost my "mojo". I use to be a person who became BIG when confronted with conflict. Nowadays, I minimize. Not all the time though, but I been doing a lot of inner searching meditating and looking for insights in my writing on my thoughts. Discovered a vice for co-dependency and self-invalidation. Now your work on 'enneagrams' something completely new to me has spark my interest and provides familiar insights especially into the "motivations" of the 9.

I’m glad Enneagram has piqued your interest! It’s mainly about why we do what we do.✨ From what you’ve said, I would check our both 9 and 3 (specifically their Sx varieties)- do let me know if you have questions.

I’m an ENFP 9. Definitely an SO/SX 9 at that :)
@airyshell6 жыл бұрын
Actually, from everything I've read and the research I've done, the ENFP is the most introverted of the extroverts. That's the Myers Briggs result I get every time. So, it made sense to me when I had found they were the most introverted of the extroverts. I can often be confused as an introvert!
@airyshell6 жыл бұрын
Also, I got 7 for the Enneagram test, which kind of surprised me as I read the definitions, but watching these videos on the differences between 7 and 4 and 9 is helping me understand. My results went 7, 9, 4. Haha!

I'm also an ENFP, 794 (in that order) :-) totally agree - the most introverted of the extroverts. I've felt very 9ish sometimes but I'm definitely a 7 :-)

Also an ENFP; type 7w6 :) I remember being surprised realizing I was more of an extrovert but I definitely can understand it more as I get older and get to know myself better!

Hey Melitta, Meyers Briggs is interesting, but I don't find it as accurate or applicable as Enneagram-- I will say that of the options, INFJ is the most closely fitting box for me. ;)

Out of context but within the types which are the withdrawing type and which are the expressive type?
@EnneagramGirl6 жыл бұрын
Hey Trina! The Withdrawn types are 4, 5 and 9. Expressive isn't a term used in Enneagram, but the other "triads" are Compliant (2, 6, 7) and Aggressive (1, 3, 8)-- this is based on the work of Karen Horney, if you are looking for more study into the topic! Thanks for watching. :)
@carnationsensation6 жыл бұрын
@TrinaYoung, Actually there is sort of an "expressive triad" but it's called something different. It's the "emotional realness" triad!! (aka the Reactive triad) It's types 4,6,8. :D Also, I'm not familiar with Karen Horney, but I'm pretty sure most people agree that the Compliant Types are 1,2,6, and the Assertive Types are 3,7,8. (The people I know in the Enneagram Community don't call it "Aggressive," they call it "Assertive.") ....BTW, 4w3 social here!! ^_^ so/sx/sp.

I’m a 7w8 and it’s blowing my mind people think 7 and 9 are similar. To me, nothing alike. Scored lowest on 9 on my rheti.
