@@zofe That all really depends on your perspective. Obviously Churchill being PM of the largest Empire the world has ever seen regarded both Greece and Scotland as small nations. Even without his perspective it's easy to agree on this simple point. But hey, it's the tinternet. I just like the fact that Churchill regarded the Scots to be more industrious than the English. It's the same conclusion I repeatedly see drawn across various industries world wide.

Powell so frightened the Establishment..Mainstream Media, BBC etc. that they undermined him withe fallacious accusation of a "Rivers of Blood' speech which he never made! The public sheeples latched on and he was finished. Were he alive today and making speeches like this EU one, it would have no impact on the Snow Flakes, Millennials, Extinction Rebellion, Black Lives Matter, Greenian moaners...Y'know the mindless Facebook burblers who lack the education, the logic and certainly the mental endurance to stick with it once they realise that they ain't even got the vocabulary to keep up..

@@carolynellis387 Every great man is vilified or deliberately forgotten. Winston Churchill, a war hero and the greatest Prime Minister in British history is reduced to a mere failure and a genocider. His forefather, the first Duke of Marlborough. The greatest military commander in European history, if not world history. The sole man responsible for Britain remaining Protestant, and the sole man responsible for the world not speaking French. Him and his most perfect wife, are simply forgotten. Odysseus, the perfect hero, man, and husband. And his wife, Penelope the perfect woman and wife. Are simply pushed aside for the fool Achilles. And Hercules is adored and talked about, who was a sick man who murdered his own children. Senator Joseph McCarthy. The greatest Senator The United States has ever had. A war hero who spent his time in Washington rooting out the deep corruption and the already decade long Communist infiltration in the American Federal Government. He has been vilified for decades now. He is now a hated man. Although, everything he claimed and said has been proved long ago, he is still remembered as one of the greatest vilains in American history. And now in today. We have President Trump. Who is misquoted and vilified for anything and everything he does. He got North Korea to dismantle their long distance rockets, removing Pyongyang as a threat to The United States. This is remembered as a total failure, as he was not able to completely remove all of their nuclear weapons. Or when he gave massive tax cuts to all Americans and all businesses. Massively increasing the median income, and making it possible for smaller businesses to hire more people. Which reduced unemployment, reducing the amount of people on welfare. And because of the increased economic activity, the total sum the Government raised with taxes, was barely affected. Meaning every American made a lot more money. A lot of Americans got off welfare and got a job. And for the first time in many years, they had real wage growth. Yet, he is remembered as an evil man. Because he cut taxes to the wealthy. Which makes him evil and corrupt and the most terrible President in American history. Orange man bad, etc, etc.

I regard many of the peoples in India as being superior in many respects - intellectually for example, and in other respects - to Europeans. " In November 1968, Powell also suggested that the problems that would be caused if there were a large influx of Germans or Russians into the UK "would be as serious - and in some respects more serious - than could follow from the introduction of a similar number of West Indies or Pakistanis" Its true. Powerful speech, just as relevant today as it was forty years ago. Enoch Powell knew then exactly what lie ahead for the UK, his foresight was phenomenal. Oh how we could do with his like today.
