Entangled Seal Puts Up A Fight

This one is for the Tony fans out there. He decides to head out to Pelican Point by himself and it pays off. As soon as he captures an entangled seal, she puts up a fight, - probably because she is in severe pain caused by the rope cutting deep into her shoulder. Notice the seal pup coming to the rescue for a brief moment, before Tony politely directs the little guy to his friends. As per usual, Tony tries to calm the netted seal, but she is feisty, and Tony lands right on his back. After a quick recovery, he manages to cut her loose and strategically lets her escape through the front of the net. What are your thoughts on this rescue? Comment below.

I love Antoine for the way he communicates with the seals. I have been encouraging Naude and company to get with Anna Breitenbach (a world renowned animal communicator who luckily lives in South Africa) to learn how to communicate with the seals to minimize stress to the animals. Wish they would. I think it would take their rescues to a new and even more humane level. God bless these guys for their work. I look forward to their video every day.

The seal had obvious mobility problems because of that 'stupid' rope as Antoine said so well. It was so tight and so hurtful to him. Hopefully the infection clears up in the salty water and he'll be well soon. Well done Antoine!

I think Tony was talking to the seal in a calm manner but the seal wasn't listening. The seal didn't appreciate Tony's efforts. But the end result is another seal rescued

Tony reminds me of myself when I'm working!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm a Physician and I narrate to my patients everything I'm doing while examining them or doing some procedure... It's a very vulnerable position the people are when they are sick and I think it soothe them to hear what I'm doing. I'm sorry if I have grammar mistakes!!! Wow, Tony, that was a large seal to tackle by yourself. This seal's injury was so bad that it is very good that you were able to cut that rope and remove it from his neck. Now his deep, infected cut can heal. You are the seal whisperer. Nicely done Tony!

There are a lot of celebrity idols and super heroes but not one can compare to any of you rescuers. You are the real idols and super heroes. I’ve watched you guys run full speed into a big herd of seals that can bite your heels, running where there are huge stones and slippery rocks, jump down running from a speeding truck…I mean what super hero does that???!! They have stunt men for that. You are your own “stunt men”. And then when you have your poor puppy in the net you become tender and caring and talk calmly to the puppies. That’s a SUPER HERO in my book.
