I don’t get the thing about health care. As someone who gratefully hasn’t dealt with serious illness, not even in my family really, how could you look at sick people and deny them? People only get one life, yet people fight for for profit health care? What’s the point? Makes me sad..

As a person battling cancer, I found this documentary to be inspirational and beautifully done. I was especially struck by two things: Trycia's incredible attitude of grace and gratefulness through her painful journey; and your loyalty, faithfulness, and 'showing up spirit' as her friend. May God grant you peace as you work through the loss of this wonderful friend.

What a beautiful friendship. She was amazing, so beautiful and full of life. But I wanted to address something with you, her best friend. If she hadn’t had so much love and support from you and her family, she would have never been strong enough to file for divorce. Think about that. All the people with terminal illnesses, having to hold on to what they have even when it’s inadequate. But she knew, yes she knew, where her real strength and support came from. She knew you would be there, through it all, even the hardest part at the end. So she didn’t have to cling to someone who was incapable of giving her what she needed during her final journey. That gift, Erica was priceless. Thank you for telling her story, showing the world her beautiful spirit, and giving her unconditional love, strength and support when she needed it the most. I assure you, you will see her again. I know this for sure through a personal experience.

What an amazing tribute to your friend. I love how she never let cancer define who she was. She was a brilliant, vibrant human being, in spite of the cancer. I am in my own battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer of the Lungs, and I have to say....She definitely inspires me to fight harder, no matter how difficult it gets. I'm very fortunate, however. I was diagnosed at Stage IIIb and now, thanks to surgery & biological treatments, I'm now at Stage 1. I'm saving this documentary in my favorites, and on the tough days, I will watch it and let your beautiful friend inspire me. Thank you for sharing her with the world.

This was so heartbreaking. She seemed to have really enjoyed life more than 99% of us, and it's terrible that cancer robbed her of so many years. I honestly wondered about her husband from the beginning and why he didn't take care of her instead of having her hustle and wear herself down, or just stay and help her instead of her roommates doing it. When he didn't even go to Korea with her... it just wasn't right. He should have been present with her. I can't fault her for trying alternative medicine, because there's so much stuff going around that it has to be confusing. You were a huge blessing in her life, and you did a wonderful job on this.

Everyone should have the kind of friends this girl had. As a cancer patient myself, I'd give anything to have people around me who wanted to help, or even just hang out with me. Unfortunately, my experience has been that friends & family all felt bad when I was diagnosed, & all said "If there's anything I can do to help, let me know", but not 1 person has actually OFFERED to do anything for or with me. I'm sick- I shouldn't have to call people to ask for anything. It should be happening because they care enough to really want to help. I'm not asking for major things- I don't have a car, so it would be nice if someone called & asked if I wanted a ride to get groceries. And if someone is making a meal for their family, bring me a plate so I don't have to cook once in a while. I would be so grateful. My cancer is a chronic type, & I'm into my 6th year of dealing with it. 3 years of chemo, but it stopped working, several new drugs that also failed, & endless blood transfusions. I've done it all alone. And I'll continue on, as long as my body is willing.

Allisen, you sound a lot like me. I also lost the most important person in my life, my Mama, on Valentine's Day of 2013. She was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in 2008 like your mother. A beautiful, vibrant, energetic, kind woman as well. Her passing "killed" me and then, like you, my dad suddenly passed in his home out of state the very next year; I didn't even get a chance to be with him and care for him the best I could. I had a plane ticket for two weeks later, and was going to take him for his second liver tumor ablation procedure. I had no idea that he was going downhill so fast, and you know how men can be, trying to tough it out. At that point, I was just DONE, so in pain that I think I went numb...just plain shock. I basically isolated myself from the world for a long time; only now am I trying to start living again. Condolences to you on your losses, we can only learn to live with the pain

Thank you, Erica. What a beautiful tribute. I feel privileged to have gotten this glimpse into such a beautiful soul's life. I don't know why KZbin "suggested" this video, but I'm so glad it did. I've been taking way too many things for granted. Big hugs to you and all of Trycia's loved ones -- I know there are many.

God bless her, she is such a beautiful soul! So graceful and brave during such a frightening and difficult time in her life; always smiling and making everyone around her feel good. My mother also passed due to breast cancer and even during such times of weakness and pain, she'd smile and joke, and make the nurses, doctors, etc. feel at ease. She always thought of others before herself, even with this disease. I like to think that someone like Trycia has met my beloved mother in Heaven, and that just perhaps, she taught her a few dance moves. The thought puts a smile on my face. Take care and blessings to you!

You have my upmost respect. I've seen death up close too many times, both as s a close friend/relative or being the person dying (I've never had cancer, but I've been battling other diseases). You did something amazing, are you aware of that? You helped Trycia to experience some good memories despite of her disease. It's so important for the sick person to be recognised and do something that's not just cancer treatment. Just laughing together, vistiting etc. You did so much for her, and I want to just clarify how proud you should be over yourself.

So hard to watch but so beautiful. Am going thru the same with my BFF. We're 12 hours apart in age & have been tight since '87. Not as young as you two but way too young to die. As you said, it really is a journey. Peace to you in your loss. She would be so honored. 🙏🏼❤️

Wow, I'm at a loss for words... which doesn't happen often. Not only did you have a beautiful friend, but you now have an angel watching over you, Erica. Bad things happen to good people and this is a fantastic example. Amazing dedication to her. All the BEST to you! 💞 * By the way, your video has motivated me to get my cancer screening done. I put it off and put it off. Why? Bcuz "life gets busy." So, thank you!!!

Stage 4 cancer thru her bones, everywhere, chemo poisoning her, she still was GORGEOUS. Life is so UNFAIR. Picture of health. Dies of cancer as a kid basically at the beginning of her life. I'm crying. I didn't know her, but her saying my body went thru the RINGER, instead of the WRINGER, made Me love her. RIP sweet girl.

For Shirley - nice, that's what you had to contribute ? They didn't honor their marriage vows ? You said it obviously meant nothing to them ! How would YOU know? Did you and a partner travel this road together , so that you have the authority to speak on this matter ? Because unless you walked in their shoes, went through the constant agony and fighting to pay bills just so she could have treatment - all of it - so so stressful, that I know I can't imagine !! But YOU, know better appraently hmm ? It never fails, there always have to be 1or 2 nasty, shortsighted and oh so self-righteous people who can find something judgmental and nasty to say, and completly miss the point, or the message of this sad and difficult story of a beautiful person, who left too young ! You make me honestly pissed off, and didn't your mother teach you , that if you have nothing nice to say - say nothing ? Well I'm telling you - shut up, keep your arrogant judgment to yourself.!

Such a heart-felt tribute to a soul with so much life and love...we can never know why some have to pass so young; life seems so unfair at times. When someone that close to a person dies, a part of you dies with them...but the greatest thing is that although she died, she never really died in your soul and heart; her memory will live on. You were such a great person to her and I know it was extremely difficult with the days of sorrow and helplessness...your unselfishness is very apparent in this video. I don't know either of you...but as a human, I love you both. God bless

My best friend of 56 years passed away from cancer three years ago. We had been best friends since we were six years old. I know that she is with Jesus in Heaven and I will see her again. I still hurt and I still can't talk about her without crying even though I know where she is at and that I will see her again. To lose your best friend of so many years is like losing one of my sisters. I am very very sorry for your loss. 😢
