Yes, that would be a good idea. Instead of getting killed, he could have gotten knocked out by Han and been incarcerated, but later saved by Bruce or the spy girl. He could have joined the final fight on the podium.

Oh, and @Glenn Cumbria that’s f’d up when an adult figure like that or a coach or any person you kinda look up to as a kid and he turns out to be a phony. And continued by telling him, man you come right out of a comic book! He had mr han in that fight. What got him was when he kicked his hand and hurt his foot . Along when the birds came out of the cages in the opium den. After that he couldn't recover and he lost to the villian.great friendship between roper and Williams. Always wondered how they knew each other and knew karate? Could of served i vietnam? Because Williams said to roper ghettos are same all over the world they all stink. That could be an incredible movie on its own. None the less great to chat with a fellow admirer of the arts....

This theme music was so haunting that one day I found myself humming it 30 years after I saw this movie. And one can understand that any piece of music which plays in the windmills of my mind and which I can't recognise are enough to drive anyone crazy.Luckily I was whistling it for let's say the thousandth time when a colleague told me ' Hey don't tell me you are also one of Bruce Lee's fans.That's the Enter the Dragon theme.' Yeah I feel you on that one. They actually reversed the roles of John Saxon and Jim Kelly cause Saxon's agent said he wouldn't play the part it if his character gets killed. The other thing was that Jim Kelly and Bruce had talked at length about doing more films together and this was to be just the beginning.

Jake Tedrick that school Williams came from in the movie was a real school back in the day it is the black karate federation they formed because of the racism in the 60s in the karate tournaments they were a all black karate team that helped each other out
