A scene from Demi Moore's Wicked. Galinda does pottery and Elphaba comes up behind her and hold G's hands and they made a set of two bowls, one for each of them.

Well Marc Platt from Universal (who actually produced the current Wicked movie) already was trying to adapt Wicked from the novel into a movie at the time (like Demi said here) but then Stephen Schwartz came along and convinced Marc to make it into a stage musical first
@dw141920 күн бұрын
@@dekar43 TBH "thank goodness" for the changes Schwartz & Holtzmann made to the material. The musical actually has a lot of fun and humor, elements lacking in the bleak, vi0lent, s3xu@IIy expl!c!t revisionist version of Oz in Maguire's novel. Let's not forget that in the 90's Demi Moore did some very... adult roles and that would fit with some of what Maguire has Elphaba do for better or for worse.
@pallafox18 күн бұрын
that would've been the non musical adaptation, the difference between the 2 is like night and day and would've been HORRENDOUS to watch. So thank god Schwartz and Holtzmann swooped it out of their hands and did the musical first.

@@dw1419I see this massive exaggerated sentiment often, and frankly it reads like parroted criticism from people who either haven't read the source material or have forgotten it. This book is a hard PG-13 at worst. It's also ridiculous to pretend the original source material of the Oz book was absent of those very same things. Again, it feels more like repetition than commentary from actual knowledge.

I think Demi Moore is an absolutely beautiful woman and when I get my stuff together, keep cleaning, organizing, getting rid of bs and only have the best of everything and the best version of me as I possibly can. I cannot wait to get into acting and modelling. It would be a pleasure to work by Mrs. Moore. She kind of looks like my childhood crush Courteney Cox from the Scream franchise. I swear no one had a bigger crush on her than me, my type literally revolves around her to this day and that's quite literally the only thing I like

It would not have been as successful, as the 1990's book is pretty darn bleak and a direct adaptation of it would be rated R. The musical made it not only PG but added humor and fun to Maguire's grim, violent, and overly s3xu@l version of Oz.
