Gave her all the chances in the world and ended up still letting her go when someone picked her up. Had that 2nd officer been confronted with her, she’d likely have ended up with a felony charge. It’s the difference between de-escalation and purposely grinding someone’s gears because you can. As I said in the first comment though, the lady was definitely drunk, definitely trespassed, and was probably a little broken.

My guess is they recognized that the magistrate was doubtful to issue charges. Since they told her she was under arrest for suspicion of DUI, it would seem as likely as not that they reported it, but the magistrate doubted that there was probable cause to issue the charge. Police don't issue charges. They investigate, gather evidence, and then report their findings.

The officers tried a little too hard to keep her from being held accountable for her risky behaviour, that it bordered on placing law abiding citizens at risk as there was absolutely nothing stopping her from venturing back out once the officers left her in order to bring her vehicle back home with her and putting innocent, defenceless citizens at risk of being smashed into by her driving while paralytic ass. That's the EXACT REASON for the introduction of John's law, after trooper John, who was making his way to the police dept to begin his new shift at exactly the same time as a drunk driver was released from the same police station following his DUI arrest and processing. And the drunk driver walked straight back to his vehicle where it was left and in the process of driving home, he smashed into trooper John resulting in a fatal collision that took the officers life. And it's that very reason why in Florida, vehicles are always towed in DUI cases and the individual must remain at the holding cells for a minimum of 8 hrs and even then, they require a seperate individual who can sign a liability form taking responsibility for the arrestee should anything occur following their release. And for very good reason to ensure no more individuals like trooper John needlessly lose their life to a drunk driver.

that's because they've been through this. The buck doesn't stop at the arrest, it is literally the beginning. One DUI can involve 1-2 years worth of court hearings, and it is all games. Lawyers literally make a living off of finding mistakes or flaws in the cop process. It's much easier for them to just not have to make the arrest in the first place. Plus, DUI's are incredibly expensive and usually result in your license being suspended, which then leads to job loss, which then leads to wage garnishments, which then can lead to jail due to not being able to pay probation. I am sure they would rather someone have to avoid that all together.

Secondly, I hope you keep that same attitude if or when you are pulled over for speeding(Putting everyone on the roads lives in danger including children), indecent exposure and placed on a sex offenders list(caught urinating outside when someone could have seen), or disorderly conduct(cursing in a way that made someone fear bodily harm). Certain things can be handled at rhe lowest level possible SOMETIMES.

So true. They don't use dramatically photoshopped/AI generated thumbnails of clips and people that aren't even featured in the video posted, the creator of the videos isn't constantly wedging their stupid 3rd grade jokes into every clip, they don't only focus on one race of people or post racist dog whistle titles while pretending to be "balanced", etc. There's even the high risk of the cop who talks at the end of the videos being biased and annoying but he's very neutral in his assessments and only provides additional info or context from his own ACTUAL experience. And he doesn't even wedge that in at the beginning, he leaves it for you at the end if you're interested. Such a breath of fresh air in the cesspool that is KZbin these days lol

At a friends house I would go to my truck and sleep in the passenger seat, just incase a cop pulled up and saw me passed out. However she doesn't seem buzzed or drunk to me, at all. Seems that she is just mad, and stressed that the police are hassling her after she entered his place without permission, just like the cops did to find him. lol

I commented this elsewhere in this comment section but this channel annoys me with their clickbait sometimes. I keep seeing these video titles like "Entitled Woman Finally Gets Humbled" or "Spoiled Brat Meets Karma" and it's always featuring people who were very obviously not humbled at all, it's some drug addict, drunk, or just plain crazy person going crazy, attacking/resisting officers, screaming, threatening people and then being taken to the jail and then they're let off on a $5 bond and their charges are dismissed but read in. No one is humbled, no lesson is learned in the vast majority of these. There's even a guy on another channel identical to this one (Code Blue Cam) where over the course of a bunch of separate videos they arrest this one 21 year old like 15 times.

No lessons are learned, they fight to the end saying they're gonna sue the department, hurling insults, insisting they're in the right, becoming louder and more enraged in their self righteousness as the process drags on. And then in a lot of cases (but not all), they go out and repeat the same behavior after they're let out of jail. Seems like getting arrested emboldens them.
