Hi Dave, thank you for helping people out with Eonon issues. That's fantastic. I have learned a lot from your videos. I got my unit delivered last week and installed it on the weekend. My model is: VWA12S-6G-E-D-WK0226, I have sent this message below, via ebay yesterday 18/03/2024, 24 hours later, no reply as yet. They have a life chat, but that only lets you sent them a message like an email. "Hi Team, I have received my stereo with accessories and have installed them. The unit looks good, great sound. Standard functions work fine. The problems I have encountered are: 1. Cannot connect to the internet via bluetooth/wireless wifi. 2. Front facing camera does not work. I only get a yellow warning logo on the screen. 3. DAB does not work. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, ..." I hope they get back swiftly and can rectify the issues. Front camera....how have you wired it for power? DAB, have you installed DAB-Z app? Are you using factory DAB aerial or aftermarket? Bluetooth and WiFi....is you phone finding "Eonon" when you search for Bluetooth?

Hi Dave. Just changed head unit from an Xtrons to the new VWA12s Android 13. On the old xtrons when the navigation came up in android auto it appeared with the map and the media panel (1:25 in your video). Clicking on the map would force it into full screen mode which is what i prefer. Tried this with the VWA but it doesnt work. Is this normal ?

With android auto open on the screen, tap the 9 dots in bottom right corner, then tap the navigation tile you like to use and it will open it in full screen. Android auto did an update a few days ago and this is how it's now set up

is the screen of this new unit any brighter, does eonon have a number as to how much nits of brightness the screen can output?

It's a QLED screen, it's brighter and clearer image than Q53pro

For the life of me, my head unit won't update...I've tried two different usb sticks, I've also tried two different micro usb cards in the gp slot....they all recognise on the head unit...but the won't execute, I can see the files on the memory sticks through the head unit...all it says when I open the stick...for transfering files and media....I emailed eonon yesterday but they haven't got back to me yet....

Which usb are you using? I used the single usb, not 1 if the 2 that go to the same plug. I just plugged in the usb and it came up on the screen to download

I have got a similar Problem! I put the file on a micro sd card! The unit reboot into recovery and than unable to map file! Installation abortet!

​​@@stephenclayton2042you figured this out? I'm having same problem. Update: I figured it out. You have to use a 32GB usb or sd card and format it to fat32, you can not use a bigger one even if you formated to fat32.

Digital Audio Broadcasting.....its not satellite but digital

Was looking as the vwa12. Does wireless Android auto start automatically or do you have to open app an connect every time

You can set it to open automatically when Bluetooth connects or open it yourself

@@whatsdavedone104 Having trouble getting the carplay to connect automatically upon boot up on my new vwa12 with both my wife's and my phones alternating. I plan on setting it up for wired carplay (which will charge the phone anyway), but if you have any tips or tricks for getting wireless carplay to connect straightaway they would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to update my Q53Pro to android 12 or are you required to have the newest head unit?

Android version on all android head units can not be updated....not just Eonon but all units. You can update MCU but not android version

I assume it is normal not to be able to hot spot your phone for wifi in the car and connect to Andriod Auto wirelessly at the same time?

Yeah that's correct, wifi turns off on head unit when AA is connected as the WiFi is being used for AA

just downloaded the update file, but noticed that the date on it is 2018? is that right. also I try to go into google from the Home Screen and it says no network connection, I have the gps and both 4g aerials connected, but they are in the dash.

Go into Google playstore and check for updates.....there will be updates required 😀

Turn on phone hotspot and connect the headunit to the hotspot....
