hey jay i've got a question with the credits that you get each month, when you spend it do you get the already printed physical terrain shipped to you or does it just unlock the digital stl's for you to print off? cos it isn't really that clear

That Aquila Stronghold, I love that turret it's wing detail. When are you going to construct a Baneblade for yourself, Eon? Just think, if you could combine the details of this Aquila Stronghold turret with that one Baneblade conversion that was once in White Dwarf, where they used terrain kits and that Inquisitor with that claw, to create a Inquisiton Baneblade, with said Inquisitor as the tank commander, that is standing on the turret, is a ornamental command post, build on top of that turret. "Forwards!!!" If need be, you can make it a objective marker. lol And Ciaphas(?) Cain would come out of a hole, right in the middle of the enemy deployment zone, trying to find out where this never documented escape tunnel, leads too, before a enemy finds it.

Poorhammer has a set of rules out there for what they call Horde Mode, it's a co-op game mode for 40k where the players fight against an infinite horde of enemies. It's pretty fun, and it would work with your terrain really well. Love how this set came out.

Sir - Ciaphas Cain would want to be in the back hiding but he would be forced by his reputation into doing a side quest on the flank - and somehow that would put him on the front line doing the most important thing on the entire board… all while screaming internally and dragging Juergen alongside to do all the paperwork.

Cain would be hiding in the back, but by coincidence that's exactly where a secret enemy tunneling force digs its way into the city to outflank the defenders. And Cain's desperate flailing attempts to flee would end up with him somehow accidentally collapsing a statue onto the enemy Hive Tyrant, crushing it and throwing the Tyranids into disarray and saving the day.

This board and what you were describing as the scenario really made me think of the defense missions in helldivers two. If you make some gates to protect/for the oncoming horde to destroy, you'd have everything you need.

This is actually my favourite way to play 40k. Some asymmetric scenario where the defenders have some city or other thing to hold with less points than the attacker, which get some tricks along with just more meat and steel to throw into the guns of the defenders. PS if you guys play with that setup PLEASE have it so the big plasma guns can go nuclear on a 1

The story you’re talking about with the gargoyles is also mentioned in the 10e codex, its from the perspective of a king (i believe) who is the last survivor of an invasion, and he mentions how the guns were overrun by sheer numbers of tyranids

Your table set up is very similar to the intro chapters of the Deathworlder novel with the Catachan, down to the Gargoyles choking out the guns by swarming into them. I've had a mate do a Starship Troopers style game with infinite waves of nids vs a Guard bunker wall and see how long they could hold out, its a very fun scenario for a one off.

This is fucking AWESOME, looks like the old school Warhammer art. If it was me, I would definitely have to do that wave defense game with Imperium soup defending against Orks. This is the last stand of a faltering crusade, bits and pieces and survivors of the different human factions giving it one last gasp to kill the Warboss or lose the planet.

The whole premise of Kill Team Volkus is that the city is built around a giant gun that the people worship. This plays a role in the narrative modes of Kill Team Volkus. You should use this terrain alongside narrative kill team!
