I love the statement about demos at Best Buy. Touching products make your attachment stronger.

I also feel the same. You guys are the ones who started my minimalist journey. I am for ever grateful for that! And hope that I'll be able to see the movie some day! love from Norway

Guilt-free purchases - subtle but dangerous. Tapping into our emotions is why advertising is toxic. We need to replace the ads with ads for minimalism. Something like, "You're great as you are. Keep being awesome."

I can't put my finger on what triggered this thought, but after listening to your show I thought of car care products. I remember growing up with one or two cars in the household. I remember washing and sometimes waxing the cars. But as I grew up and got my own cars, somehow it was now important to have shiny rims, and then enlarged tires, then accessories like fog lights and sun roofs, then later leather bras for the front end. The list goes ON and ON. But the one that gets me is Armour All...somehow it is required now to make the tires look blackened as well as the interior must not look natural but must have the amour all shine. If you go into an auto parts store these days, it is hard to see the hardware through all the accessories and care products that we don't need.

I'm a scouser and even I can't listen to a geordie accent and take them seriously! (I know it's not technically a geordie accent, but still, close enough).

Not good presented. Too many unnecessary fillers. Too many 'likes', too much stereotypical American female 'slang'. Doesn't fit in the usual Minimalism podcast style at all.

Convencional sunscreen DOES NOT cause cancer. Please do not spread ignorant suppositions, do your research. Nothing that is harmful for your health can be placed in a cosmetic. Also, the assumption that "natural cosmetics" are better for your health is just plain wrong and uninformed.
