This series just might make me switch my auto parts store, despite the "other brand" being only a mile up the road.I'm down to six cars now but I'm willing to do the extra drive for supporting things like this

I've said it a dozen times, I'll say it again...nothing beats real people, unscripted being real in their element and sharing it with those who enjoy the same thing! Derek keep it up! I stopped watching commercial TV programs long ago. Too political and all with an agenda. Your agenda...promotes getting out, doing and learn as you go! Thanks for sharing!

He's been at this KZbin thing for quite a while, once you get comfortable in front of the camera you almost forget it's there. Doesn't hurt when it's just you and a buddy shootin' the breeze about what you love to do either. Excited for this series though, Derek is awesome no matter what he's doing.

Only way to get it done "cheap" is to literally just slam it in with stock trans, harness, and ecm. I've seen swaps done for less that a grand but they don't look great.

I'm a huge fan of VGG since the fateful day I stumbled apon a guy in a field wrenching on an old white Cadillac. Since then I discovered guys like Puddin & Mortske, the guys at Turning Rust & others. I'm not a car/truck dude or mechanic but this content beats the heck out of anything on TV! 👍

A guy had the same vibration you talked about during the "Help me Understand" portion. Did the same list ya'll spoke about. and still had the vibration. (balanced driveshaft, new u-joints, etc) When I decided to just replace the rear tires (thinking a broken belt inside tire) and found a bunch of water/fix-a-flat stuff inside one of the tires....... Yeah. Emptied out that muck, reassembled and balanced the tire, and car was cured.. Yeah, water inside the tire caused the vibration over 60mph

Interview with Jared was awesome...but holy moley, I could watch 17 hours of the "Help Me Understand" segment with a couple experts answering everyday questions that I've run into in the past that have had me stumped! Great show!

I was blown away when Jared said how he got started. He told my story. Started taking apart things and appliances as a kid to see how they worked and also put them back together. Then the lawnmowers, I’d sell used lawnmowers on my lawn. I started a landscaping business at age 7 and begged my mom for a gas powered lawnmower for my 10th birthday.

Anyone watching until the diagnostic part at the end, if you don't have a cheap smoke machine. Holy crap what a handy tool. Vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, sometimes even fuel tank leaks(gas cap). Life changing tool

Hey guys. David W here. I had already done a tune up but what brought er round was 2 cans of B12 in the tank and 2 cans of Berryman direct injection intake cleaner. Runs great now and just to make you happy Derik. I smoked the tires and blew the carbon out of it.

I worked for O'Reilly two different times and it was such an honor. I absolutely love the company and out of all the parts stores they are the BEST! I was a commercial manager my first time and an RSS my second time. I might look into going back, but I left the second time because I never got to do things with my family. Was promised a certain schedule and was never given that so I never got to see my family. And family is most important to me.

Got to watching these and had to check out No. 1. Great job! Derek, you are a natural interviewer. So fun to see Jared. I found is channel the other day and really enjoyed it. Thanks for your work. I enjoyed guessing the answers to the viewers' questions. BTW: the 5.3 will chirp the tires and not a lot more (I have had three and also three 6.2s) but it will do it all day long on regular 87 octane fuel. And get you where you want to go and back home as well. Proven, but I get the allure of more HPs and ft. lbs.
