that's for the truckers when they arrive on the island to pick up potatoes they have to stop there to get there trailer sprayed and when they leave they have to stop there to get paper work to clear inspection.

that is one crazy expensive toll. I'm surprised to see the TCH get the number 16 designation in New Brunswick, I had thought that was only the Yellowhead designation. I would love to see a similar bridge connecting Vancouver to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

That is a return fare. It is free to go to PEI but you must pay to leave. The charge is the same as it used to cost to take a car and 2 people across and back on the ferry. It goes up each year determined by the rate of inflation.

Going to the Island (Prince Edward Island) is FREE, that is crossing the bridge or on the Ferry to the Island, you do not pay anything. It is getting out of the Island that you have to pay. Great for tourists until they plan to leave. When you leave, that's when you pay on the bridge or the ferry.

That's a real scram, they make money on the fact that some tourists don't know that. They should put it on the New Brunswick side, like that tourists could choice to not go on that island.

Only costs to leave PEI, not to go to PEI. It's free to go there. So there's only a charge for one way.

46$ and ten years later, you would think the 1 billion$ bridge would be paid off by now. What with all the people traveling back in forth between NB and PEI spending 46$ to cross the Confederation Bridge. Why is the NB and PEI government charging so much now to travel on that bridge? Oh I forgot they are greedy politicians and Liberals in both Provinces....
