I just came across this interview at 03:40 in the morning because im failing to sleep. The reason being Im in the very situation Kats Miyen was, yes being falsely accused of rape its something that you can be sceptical about it until one day its done to you. For me I feel like im dying slowly especially seeing my mom going through the most pain is killing me. Last about the end of year I met a girl I thought maybe she was the Ruth to marry. We dated for two weeks only, just because I was in love or maybe I can say desperate to marry. We did everything very fast like I was to comfortable and too blind to notice the early red flags. After two weeks we planned for a meet up like fist time we both planned to make it a first date and first day sleep over as well. Just like we planned it happened that way, first meet and also sleeping together 2 times during the night and once in the morning. The girl was excited to an extent that even after the first encounter she bought some food(Kfc) for both of us with her own money. Morning time we woke up prepared ourselves and went to buy morning after pills, again mo girl used her own money because I didn't have any, stupid me I had unprotected sex on the first day but yeah it happened that way. Had a problem with my phone and watch charger, yeah the girl financed it also as a favor to me. Aftef finishing shopping I went to drop this girl to her house which went well yeah, upon arrival she started demanding me for us to go shopping and I refused, asked me to offer her brother with a lift from the garage to home and I refused. The small argument was resolved then after the good lady by then offered me some african groceries from home, yeah we live abroad so she was happy to share. I went home after everything was oky, I arrived at home everything was still fine, we spent time talking on the phone and also few texts until I had to end the call and tell her that im now busy. 16:00 I received like 3 to 4 calls picked up the first and let her know that I was still busy, the the other 3 calls I rejected them. 17:40 she sent a message hey so you are ghosting me now, you had sex with me now you aint talking to me so I want my groceries back and also the money. I didn't resist I sent her my home address she drove to my place. I give her groceries back but the problem I didnt have the money. The good lady that I thought was going to be my wife turned evil, she called the cops on me, yeah reported that In refusing with her stuff and also report allegations that I raped her 3 times. Police here they dont waste time few minutes they arrived, thats how I was arrested for rape, spent a night in cells and later on realised under investigation but I feel like now Im in prison its just the same. Man lets be careful never be in a private space with a woman you dont really know nomatter how she is looking like an angel. I know for sure that this is a false accusation and I gave a true statement but still for me to be safe I hired a lawyer for about 20 000 rands equavalent value, not for the lawyer to represent me but just to offer few advices which means when the trial begins I do have to pay another amount. My job is at risk because my visa dependent on a clean police cleArance. Everything as stopped for me, I try to establish a relationships evn just for friendship but they fail within few days because I nolonger trust anyone. Im glad that the thought of killing myself or seeking revenge went away because God stood up for me, prayer is helping me a lot. To any man out there wherever you are in the whole please get to know a woman you are involved with before any sex infact no sex before marriage is the only way to go.

What was that argument all about? The must be a reason for the fight. I have so many questions but maybe he is not ready to tell the whole story. Guys,alcohol is a problem in our country. In many cases,alcohol is involved. Lets stop consuming it. Its very sad if wrong people are arrested,while courts demand evidence from real victims.
