Wow!! I’m only 23 min in. But the way he broke down that 5 structure points of a man. We could end the episode right off that!! If men would model the character of Christ, then we can be better women, we can raise up better children and in-turn, create better families, which will grow better communities. Come onnn somebody!!! 🙌🏾 🙌🏾 Everybody should just give God the glory for the revelation right there!! I also like that he used the word “govern.” It really is THAT simple. We all just need to strive to be more like HIM.

Amen! It might get hard, you are walking the narrow road, so listen to God as he tells you that men even within the church are not good enough for you. You are a strong mighty woman of God and you need a man at your level. It might feel like there are none, but God will bring him to you! Just keep pushing through! Praying for God to bring him to find you quickly because the dating world sucks right now lol

26:54 they understand what many don’t in marriage. Presence, provision many communication touch points, character and mentorship. 👏🏽 offering up vulnerability unprompted. 👏🏽 these examples are amazing. And at the basis is humility, care and a lack of ego that makes it work. 45:20 “Teaching the work..We can’t expect people to walk in something they’ve never seen.” 👏🏽 1:05:35 Gentleness a quiet and gentle question. And correction. A critical spirit tiene others off. “Have you prayed about it as much as you’ve complained about it?” Be careful in complaining to family and friends.
@pri_shay_dior11 ай бұрын
Meg, I completely understood when you touched on not trusting yourself with relationships. I had 3 really good friendships plus my marriage fall apart in the same year. I thought surely I'm the problem. It would be much later that I found out I was not at fault for two of the friendships that ended. I still don't have closure on the third. But the marriage was definitely my fault. Lol. I still have times I doubt that I know how to let God lead me in life. It's a process. I'm so glad you have the wisdom to realize that part of you needs to be healed and it's a lie from the enemy. You're doing fine sis. I'm loving being able to observe your journey. Thank for sharing!!!

When I tell you I was fighting back tearsss! I play this podcast while I’m driving or doing a task … but every time I realize I need to sit down w/ a journal and write the points that touch/speak to me. So many gems from : -confusing gender roles w/tasks that can be outsourced -to understanding your season of spiritual dryness may be at a time when your partner’s is high and you need more than ever their prayers to get you through …& not looking down because you too have been in a “valley” even if you’re on a “mountain” currently -to: “Have you prayed about it more than you complained about it?” And my fave: 57:26 “How dare I not pray for the father of my children?”… whewwww!

This episode started making me emotional and teary eyed, cause I’m in a dry season rn and I’ve been in this space for some time now. I’m an only child from NY & when I moved out to Cali and I tried SO hard to find community & to find my own path as a growing adult but it’s been difficult for me. I pray so much, journal, write my letters to God it’s like I still can’t find my footing or a friend to connect with to help this life not feel so cold. Like you, Meg, I’ve battled wit depression most of my life and I really do the work to try and find the good in life. I somehow still manage to keep my spirit up and keep my energy as positive as I can, but it almost feels like God doesn’t want me to have community at this point. At first I thought God just wanted me to be in a season of silence and solitude but I’ve been in this space for 3 yrs now and it’s starting to take a toll. I didn’t grow up around most of my family and I’ve been bussin my own a- to build those relationships that I never had the chance to as they did [ all my cousin grew up together and bonded in FL & I grew up alone in NY ] and even that’s running its course. I’m the outsider trying to fit in and catch up while trying to adult and find my place in the world and also running into “bad friends” who can never pick up the phone when I just need to hear a voice from time to time or answer a text when I’ve been sitting in silence for days. Your podcast, along with some others, really do give me hope but I can only listen and watch others speak life to me through a screen for so long you know? This episode touched me from a romantic relationship standpoint to friendship and even with my relationship with God. I truly love the work you’re doing even if it’s something you didn’t ask for - I’m so glad led you to this path. 🤍

Hi! I just want you to know you are heard and felt so deeply. I spent so much of my younger yrs flying solo, different cities, relationships and friend groups, nothing really real though. I hope you can find a solid church home in Cali and maybe join a few small groups at the church for deeper connections. Whatever you do, don’t let loneliness or isolation drive you to darkness. Stay firm in the Lord and let Him guide to the right tribe. It will be worth it. I’m praying for you from Chicago (the 6th city I’ve moved too lol)! God bless you ❤.

Listen I hear you sis, I've also spent so much of my life in isolation, not by choice but that's just the season I find myself in. I can't even remember a year when I wasn't by myself on my birthday but with that I've been afforded an opportunity to experience God's presence more and lean on & depent more on him cs the thing about God is, if he doesn't send someone, you can be sure that he will surely fill whatever void is there. Trust him to send you people to do life with.

I pray you find community! You are not alone when it comes to finding community etc … I trust God that he will bring the right people in my path that’s in alignment with his will for my life . May God hear your prayers and you seek him while you wait for his promise❤

I love this! I’ve followed Michael since first seeing him as a speaker at pinky promise and then I started following his beautiful wife Amanda, The Pittman’s are a solid Christ centered couple to themselves, their marriage, and their beautiful family. I love both of their perspectives. Both very valid points. The man has a very heavy mantle to carry and I think men don’t want to carry it, but he gave us women to be the helpmeet so we can help carry the family and for some reason we have complicated it so bad. ❤ when Michael said, you’ve been married and the outside looks good but in the house there is suppression, that was us. Yes Megan, I’m attending divorce care. We just had this conversation about living out your Christ centered life so your children can see God in it.
