She told the story of the early days and she use to ask him about marriage and it didn’t happen and she stated she got to a point she didn’t care about asking him about it anymore she “just wanted to be with him.” 🥰Your comment made me think of that. Multiple studies have shown that women live happier and healthier lives being single then being married. Statistically speaking, women are happiest when single and childless in today's times. Also, women can have friends and biological family that they share a life with. We as humans need the presence of other humans in our lives yes. But we can live alone. We don’t need romantic relationships to survive. We do need love and support, but it can be from friends and family. It does not need to be from a romantic partner. Studies also show that single women are far happier than their married peers, and that married women lose out in career earnings, career trajectory, health, and life expectancy compared to those single peers as well. Married women tend to age more and have more health problems than single women do, and a lot of that is because of the stress that comes from being in a romantic relationship. Married women live shorter lives and report lower levels of happiness than women who never marry. Also, according to many studies, women have higher rates of depression when married. Over half of all women today are single, by choice. Statistics indicate that single women tend to have the highest life expectancy on average.

The problem is people hate the word "hard" people hear hard and think "if I fail, I'm not perfect" instead of saying "wow, it's not just me that struggled with this". I love when people in this goal space says it wasn't an easy road it makes it easier to not put unnecessary expectation on yourself. I'm loving these Marriage be hard interviews even thou i don't plan to get married legally but do plan on using these tools in the relationship I have.

@Khadijah_time

“Unconditionally”? 🤔 I’m on my 27th year and marriage definitely be hard. But it’s a daily choice for us both. I know for sure there are conditions for me to continually make that decision though. Just to name a few, respect, loyalty, emotional intelligence/availability, maturity, and commitment. Nothing in my life has been unconditional except for the love I have in my heart for the children I bore from my uterus. I completely understand that all marriages are absolutely not the same, but I don’t understand having no conditions on maintaining it in general.

I love Fridays with Tab and chance. It should be a talk show. When my son was a kid he was sweet, then he became a meanager, then he graduated and I cried because I didn’t want my baby to leave, Covid hit and he came back hm, but what I learned through all of it is to always cast my cares on the Lord. God cares about the things I care about and He knows I’m not strong enough to handle something happening to my child. So I gave both of my kids to God and left them there. There are no hands safer than His. Now they go and come as they plz. Stay for days or weeks away from hm and I just pray, keep them covered, cover whoever they are with or wherever they are and let go and let God.

You speak facts. My husband and I are introverted and really did need the time together. God, gave the world a chance to literally stop, smell the roses and look at whats happening and been happening around you.

Absolutely loved this interview. I’ll be married 10 years on Feb 1. Got married at 18, now 28. We are still learning but I feel like we’re almost at that stage where like Chance said, things are established. I have 5 kids ages 9,6,3,2,&1 😅 I’m nervous for when they hit teenage years 😩😂 I have 2 girls and 3 boys. Pray for me haha

These interviews are such gems! I don't think couples have been given the permission to be this honest to the public, and that's because of the safe space the Fredricks have built. This is such a labor of love that will help millions along their marital journeys.❤️

Longevity doesn't equal happiness. Love that part. I too desire a marriage where I have a friend in my mate where we are able to communicate in both good and hard times. GREAT INTERVIEW!!!

When Chance said he and Melissa are alike it reminds me of tank and angel because tank will be on the chance and Melissa side and angel is on the tab and kev side. It’s a really nice friendship dynamic. Very rare.

My husband and I got married at an older age but still had sooo many problems but for us it was because we fell in lust and lust don't last especially when one spouse gets sick, we also didn't talk about important things that are lasting.

I love when Tab talks about knowing each other and that being a weakness for others in quarantine. The blessing and beast of marriage is definitely knowing the good and bad of the other person and I think successful relationships fall on wanting to be friends with your spouse.

I'm so glad y'all started off the discussion with the responsibility to also show the upside of marriage. Outside of the social media highlights, most marriage discussions these days don't make marriage seem desirable AT ALL. As Melissa said, the effort to be honest, or simply to vent 🤷🏿‍♀️, is definitely becoming a deterrent to those of us that are unmarried. I think at this point we all get that 'Marriage be Hard', but surely the good outweighs the bad or else no one would do it. God wouldn't have blessed and ordained it. Right? As a single person, I can say more balanced discussion on the joys of marriage, and its challenges, would be appreciated. All that to say, this discussion, and this series, is GREAT!!!!!! 🤗

One thing I love about Chance. Chance didn't let Fine suppress his maturity, character, and development.There are some Fine men who are only Fine. No depth at all. They rely on looks. He is a 3 dimensional man.
