Thanks again fr. Meeks for another inspiring and illuminating talk. Last week many hundreds of us, in Ireland gathered in the rain to relight a fire on the hill of Slane here in county Meath . St. Patrick lit the same fire on the same hill almost 1600 years ago to bring the light of Christ to Ireland . Many of us, despite the challenges here continue to remain faithful echoing the words of Joshua (24:15) "As for me and my household we serve the Lord ". God bless you all from Ireland.

Zeal is wonderful but in the book of Proverbs it is clear that a surrendered life to follow Jesus,and denying oneself is a call he places on our hearts through a relationship with him thru the holy spirit... He doesn't call everyone to be a martyr... We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. Prov 16:9 To know his will for our lives we are to know him through his word..for that is the substance of Eternal life to be undertaken on this side of eternity Be blessed by the thread below He reveals himself to those who know him,hence it's easier to know his will for the Christians life. And this is eternal life... To know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. John 17:3 ⬇️ How can I know him? So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word(bible) then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32 ⬇️ Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and REVEAL myself to each of them.” We can't obey him without his help through the holy spirit

Hi Father, I’m in Canada and am blessed with a holy priest at my Parish. He’s heavily influenced by the Latin Mass and incorporates some of the rituals into our Novus Ordo masses as well as offering a Latin Mass (in English ) on first Fridays. Yes, Father Meeks, it is not an easy time to be a Faithful Catholic. I am so VERY disgusted and depressed by what is going on in our Church and in our world right now, that I don't know who to trust any more! I've been putting off going to confession because I don't know if some of these poorly educated post Vatican II priests are living in sin themselves pretending to be "faithful shepherds" but living double standard lives!! As far as trying to bring my fallen-away family members back to the Faith, good luck with that!! Our Catholic Church has become a laughingstock among them as well as many other fallen away Catholics and they don't want anything to do with it!! I know that I will always remain faithful and will keep on praying for them, our much maligned Church, and the whole world!!! God will triumph in the end as we all know!!! ❤🙏🙏🙏

Thank you Father Meeks. Yes these talks are very encouraging and instructive. For one who had seen as an adolescent the destruction in some parishes and the confusion following the Council, and was so shocked by the actions of Theodore McCarrick that for months I could not enter the Basilica, who enjoying the return of the Traditional Liturgy is seing it rejected once more while those who love are being trashed by the hierarchy these talks are comforting. It is hard time, the COVID reaction of the hierarchy so contrary to what traditionally occurred, still hurts. My sincere gratitude for your courage and the willingness to continue your apostolate. May The Lord bless you and your family.

No matter how busy life is, your homilies were, and now podcast is, always a must hear. Listened to this one twice. Really speaks to me, having been away from the church for decades and God called me back; it's like home. I'm still learning and striving, and your messages teach and encourage. And we do need to hear about both the bad and the good in the church. It's good to hear that I'm not crazy, there is something gone wrong, but it's on us to remain faithful to what is good, stand firm for what is right. I was already determined to stay, but you articulate in ways I couldn't, the reasons why.

I myself am not a Catholic, I would be 'categorised/labelled' as a born again Christian. Although I usually attend a local 'pentacostal style' church. I will visit & worship at other churches too. (I live in a small town in north-western England = not an abundant variety to choose from 😂). I personally am non-denominational, non-sectarian, essentially non-divisive). Therefore, I am willing to listen to any message (with Holy Spirit discernment) from a true man of God, & endeavour to gain wisdom and understanding from his message. I watch many Christian teachings online, but always with an eye on how it matches Scripture. Discernment is key. Any genuine Christian message/teaching can always be supported/proven by God's Word. I believe Father Ed. Meeks is a true man of God, with a genuine heart for God and a love of His Word. Which is why I keep returning to learn more from a more learned brother in the faith. Thank you Father Meeks for not staying retired. 😂 Thank you for continuing to bring us sound biblical guidance in a dark, fallen world. Praise God! 😊🙏
