As Christians it’s important to trust God no matter what we are going through. God is our only strength in this world. Like many other single parents things are tough on me. Both of my sons are autistic and non verbal. I’m constantly struggling to provide for them and now that I’m home schooling them things are especially hard. I’m having trouble getting their school supplies. I’m overwhelmed and so ashamed. Father God hear my prayers. My faith in you is strong! Even as I constantly struggle to pay my rent. And I constantly struggle to provide groceries for my children! I trust you Lord! I’m choosing to keep faith. Walking with faith is the most important thing us christian’s must do. That’s why love compassion and prayers are all we truly need. Please keep me in your prayers.

Jesus is God. He is Begotten of the Father and he died on the cross for me, the broken and unworthy person that I am. Jesus followed me in my darkest moments of sin and never gave up on me. He is the love of my life and he deserves every second of every moment of my life. Jesus is the alpha and the omega. He was before the world was created and will be forever. I’m not worthy of his love yet I trust in his promises and I pray everyday to be given the ability to love Him perfectly in this world and by his grace, in the world to come. He is my comfort and life would have no meaning without him. I seek his face, everyday. All I want in this world is to please Him and my greatest fear is disappointing him. Sleep! Sometimes I get up and go to Mass, now that I don't watch online as much, and by the time that I've walked there (not quite a mile -- 8 blocks) and I get settled, read the Bible a bit and prayed for myself, my boyfriend and our families, I'm tired and my brain says, "it's ok if you fall asleep, but try to stay awake." I do find myself so content that I'm there that I doze a little. Tell Meghan it's not worth taking time off, but a little resting in the Spirit isn't going to hurt her, and that she's not alone. One thing that scripture scholars teach has been called, the Messianic Secret. Seems to me, it’s because Jesus rarely admits to who he really is. I seem to recall that only in the Gospel of John does Jesus expressly admit to being the Christ, the Son of God. Otherwise, Jesus let’s his miracles proclaim who he really is.

Christ never placed the true Church upon Peter or any sinner but it consists of all true believers who make the same confession of Christ as Peter did. Each believer being as a living stone and built up a spiritual house/Church with other living stones/believers (1 Peter 2:4-10 KJV). Christ is the ROCK/cornerstone on which the Church stands. The true Church is spiritual not a physical palace in Rome and every true believer is a priest. 3. Confessing Christ is believing that He shed His real blood and gave His real body on a real cross one time for the forgiveness of all sins. If you still believe you have sin to be continuously atoned for then you absolutely deny Christ.

The Bible clearly says at Philippians 2:6 about Jesus that he “did not even consider the idea of trying to be equal to God.” Jesus considered Almighty God to be superior and NEVER ‘grasped for equality with God!’ Some claim that John 8:58 is identifying Jesus as God. His response was to tell these opposing Jews about his PREHUMAN existence as a mighty spirit creature in heaven before Abraham was born. The action expressed by the Greek verb ‘ei•mi’ started ‘before Jesus came into existence’ and was still in progress. It is therefore properly translated “I have been” rather than “I am.” Jesus made it clear at John 14:28: “For the Father is GREATER than I am.” The Greek word rendered “greater” (mei’zon) is used in many contexts where one person or thing is said to be superior to another!

@@01happykat I think the key is what fr Schmitz was saying. Christ, at least from the evidence in the gospels didn't want anything for himself. In both the case of t and Raniere they wanted something. T spent most of his life chasing money and sex. Raniere is in prison for sexual abuse. We take it on faith that Jesus wasn't a sex creep. Cynically one could suggest that the apostles were actually a giant orgy cult and since nothing was written down about them for hundreds of years to come I guess it's technically possible historically. We take it on faith that that's not what Jesus was about.
