Me and my brother went to see them inducted. I figured it was possibly the last time I would ever see the original 4 on stage together. Sadly, I may have been right.

Morello's induction speech for KISS into the RARHOF was magical, the best speech the HOF will ever get. The fan vote should be a minimum of 50% of the total ballots available. Keeping in-mind the yearly nominees are put forward by a 'closed-doors' group of self-declared experts. The fans can only vote for those bands or artists who have to be nominated first.

The fan vote should certainly count for more than it does. Great point about the “experts” still choosing the nominees.

If Peter and Ace wanted it (I doubt it) they would reunite at a KISS Kruise acoustic show like at MTV.

You’re absolutely spot-on with both of your analyses and criticism of the ceremony, Mike and Vin! On a personal note, I am not a Springsteen fan in the least, and I resent the E Street Band even more so for robbing us of what was supposed to be one of the most important nights in Kisstory. Plus, don’t know if you guys own the DVD/Bluray copy of the past 10 years of inductions, but on the 2014 edition, KISS isn’t even represented in the least! 😡

Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the episode! I do not have that DVD, but it’s not surprising to hear.

Springsteen’s manager used to be a Rolling Stone writer but if you read Steve Van Zandt’s book, even with Landau managing him, he has tried and failed getting some of his faves in.

@@muziktrkr And what's funny is Tom Morello is a big Springsteen fan also. He recorded a few songs with him and played live with him quite a few times. His introduction speech was amazing for sure!!

Tom Morello played in the one off band Shandi's Addiction on Kiss My Ass so you should have known he was a big fan ;)

I knew who he was, but honestly he wasn’t on my radar as someone who should do the induction speech. Clearly, I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I always like listen to you guys talking about KISS. Regarding the R&RHOF I have no real opinion and didn't care back then. Anyway. The band was always about discoverying new music, going to concerts, reading interviews in mags and zines and watching their videos on MTV or VHS video tape. I lost interest after the Reunion. But did really enjoy their 2012 Monster album.

To say the HOF is a joke is a huge understatement. In 2014 they were finally forced to induct KISS only because of fan pressure. The Hall, RS magazine, SNL, all hated KISS. Sad that the band couldn't let bygones be for one night because odds are it was the last chance for the originals to perform together. I have nothing against Carr, Singer, Bruce ect. but even though G & P won't admit it, the magic is the originals. That is the lineup that made an impact and changed rock and roll. it didn't bother me that the others didn't get inducted though no disrespect to them.

A very funny episode towards the end guys. But I liked it!!! 😊😊 Yea, KISS did get the short end of the stick didn’t they??? That whole thing with not performing was very sad!!! 😭😭😭

Thanks for watching and putting up with us at the end 😂 Yes, they got the short end of the stick, no doubt about it.

I am hoping band members that were snubbed in the past at the induction ceremony because of “the politics”, will be inducted. There was no reason why Carr, Kulick, Vincent and Singer shouldn’t have been inducted. It would be nice to induct Tommy even though he played on 2 albums - but when you take into account Klinghoffer is inducted as a Chili Pepper and Trujillo was inducted with Metallica the first album he was on was the same year they were inducted, Tommy absolutely should have been inducted. The sad thing is that the “sideman” induction the E Street was inducted for, only lasted a couple of years, so Elton John and Billy Joel’s bands who were as “worthy” as the E Street, were snubbed. I just listened to Matt Sorum’s audiobook, and his chapter about the Rock Hall was interesting. I’m hoping the post Wenner Rock Hall and the inevitable resignation of Jon Landau will open things up more for inductees as well as being more inclusive of band members that weren’t in a “classic lineup”. What made me happy was hearing about a possible KISS museum coming. Maybe the Queens Museum can put one together.

I don't understand why yhey were treated that way . Journey had Arnel perform then Bon Jovi had their newer guys perform.

I'm afraid that the next time all four will be in a room together, one of them will be no longer alive.
@michaelboswell43186 ай бұрын
With Ace and Peter excluded from the Avatars, I think anything musically with the 4 original players is not going to happen. I think Eric Carr, Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer all belong in the Rock Hall of Fame. Maybe Vinnie Vincent.
