ep.4) 5th-month update only soil naturalistic hamsters enclosure (no wood bedding)

Hello, this is Hamster Lab.
안녕하세요 햄스터 랩입니다.
It has been 5 months since I raised the hamster in the soil.
The biggest change was that the oats were really big. I also bought a really good feed from Germany and gave it to the hamster. Thanks to you, the breeding environment is getting better.
Thank you very much for your interest. The reason for the late upload of the video is that there is no big change in the hamster house hahaha.
Also, the hamster only comes out once a day, so it is really difficult to shoot. I want to do a live stream later, but I don't know what to do because I don't know when the hamsters will come out. If anyone knows of a motion detection mirrorless camera, please let me know.

가장 큰 변화는 귀리가 정말 많이 컸습니다. 또 독일에서 정말 좋은 사료를 구입해서 햄스터에게 주고있습니다. 여러분들 덕분에 사육 환경이 더 나아지고 있습니다.
여러분들의 많은 관심 정말 감사드립니다. 영상 업로드가 늦는 이유는 햄스터 집이 큰 변화가 없습니다 하하하.
또 햄스터가 하루에 1번 잠깐만 나와서 촬영이 정말 어렵습니다. 나중에 실시간 스트리밍도 하고 싶지만 햄스터가 언제 나올지 몰라 어떻게 해야할지 모르겠습니다. 혹시 움직임 감지 미러리스 카메라 기능을 아시는 분 있으시면 알려주세요.

Congratulations with your experiment! The beetles at 2.27 onwards are the adult form of the mealworm. I raise my worms as bird food & many will pupate and continue the life cycle by laying their eggs on food. Mine are fed on kitchen scraps like the ends of vegetables, dry bread crusts, the bottom of the cereal box XD While harmless, they are a huge problem for farmers if there is an outbreak in their storage barns. While there is food in the enclosure you will never get rid of them! XD o/

아니에요. 1년을 흙과 나무 베딩에 키워봤지만 햄스터가 나무 베딩에 산다고 불행하지 않는 것 같아요. 햄스터 맘은 모르지만 거대 베딩이라면 충분히 행복한 햄입니다

@@hamsterlab1 베딩 높이가 30cm 아래로 내려가면 밤새 바닥 긁고 시위하는 햄이라서요,, 덕분에 늘 산처럼 거대 베딩을 쌓아주고 있어요😅 워낙 그렇게 디깅을 좋아해서 집 한쪽에 만들어둔 코코피트 속에서도 그렇게 신나게 노는데, 드넓은 흙속에서 맘껏 뛰어노는 솜이 보니까 순간 죄책감 아닌 죄책감이 들었네요ㅎㅎ,, 두가지 다 해보신 집사님이 그렇게 말씀해주시니 위안(?)이 됩니다! 솜이 영상 많이 올려주세요🙂 저희 후추랑 똑같이 생겨서 더 반가워요

So much better than the first video you did making this setup. Now it's got lots of wood of different sizes, a sand bath area, access to live low fat protein and warmth from the light source. You've excelled in leaps & bounds at giving your Hamster(s) a wonderful home. Personally I like the 2nd one better cause it has 2 exercise wheels, which they love. And you found a way to form non-collapsible tunnels in the shavings. I see you used a coconut shell for the nest but what did you use to hold the tunnels open? I'm sure others would like to try this too. Overall, well done!! 💖

It is weird to see the domestication of the hamster made it super reactive to people, like a pet but very bad at finding food easily. Wild hamsters still arent great hunters but they are much better then this. I bet a few generations living in this "wild" environment they would be better and less human dependent

Do you use artificial light to grow plants? In my aquarium I use real plants and actual soil substrate. I inject co2 and fertilizers into the water to fertilize the plants, but I have to add a good light source with the correct wavelengths for plant growth. I use T5 bulbs mostly, there are a couple LED fixtures that work nicely as well. The Planted Plus is fun, you can custom change the color and it will start the day with a dull glow, slowly grow into bright afternoon "full sun", then turn to a red orange at night. It's designed to mimic the kinda light and a natural cycle of the sun.
