Tammy I am one of those subscribers and “first cousins” who was truly impacted by your decision to create meet the Mitchell’s during the pandemic, it really kept me sane in ways I can’t fully explain but the sharing of your experiences and pieces of life and family is so refreshing and so relatable, I am so grateful for your courage to do it.

The problem with me is, I always settle for less than what I want, need, or deserve. I make everybody happy, while I myself am absolutely miserable. But, I'm sick and tired of people peeing down my leg and trying to telling me that it is showers of blessing.🇯🇲

All I saw was a home. A home that was lived in, normal, warm. It screamed people live here and we are a family. I loved that about a home because that makes it a home. I hate museum like homes. Don’t walk there, don’t sit there, that is for this, this is for that. Just live in your home and love.

Ladies🎉 Moms of children 🎉 I have 3 children (boy, girl, boy) the bigger boy cuts out a huge part of his sister's hair and the smaller boy shaved both his eyebrows (not at the same time) during school time. Children will ALWAYS BE CURIOUS not matter how much they are watched/monitored. Parents..... I think won't judge ❤. Beautiful space, T & T.

Another great topic, Ladies! Playing small is how I manifest my insecurities. I think the earlier part of the Marianne Williamson quote you guys used is the part that is better known: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate…That quote has not ever resonated with me because my deepest fear is that I AM INADEQUATE. I first became aware of this years ago when Sarah Palin was tapped to be the Vice President. It was a brutal time for her and her inexperience and ignorance was laid bare for all the world to see. I struggled to have any empathy for her because in my mind how foolish of her to accept this position she was not prepared for. How dare she, I wanted to know. My best friend, who has alway been so brave about seeking out and accepting offers to be front and center said to me but why not. She said she would have accepted the offer too and then made the best of it. My mind was blown by this idea. Looking foolish was not her first concern. Saying yes to this great opportunity was. I think about Palin a lot when I am feeling my most insecure about doing something that makes me feel like I’m not good enough. While I wholly disagree much of Palin’d politics, the courage she showed during that time, I will never forget. I still play small way too often, but I am working to overcome this fear of failing and looking foolish.

I have to say I work from home and while working I sit and listen to you both and if anyone walked into my home office they would totally swear I am nuts 🥜 😂, because you both shine your light 💡 so bright in addition to your wit and candor, you both have me cracking up. 😂😂. I absolutely love ❤️ the dynamics between both of you , it is so refreshing along with the beautiful and meaningful messages. I am pretty confident about who I am as an individual however, listening to you both reminds me why I will always be me no matter what anyone thinks. Some rather tear you down as oppose to understanding your truth, your love ❤️, your passion and your juourney. Keep Shibu your lights ladies and never allow the kid inside you fade away. Ultimately, I had to change my mindset and believe in myself, regardless of validation by others. I also had to empower myself to believe I’m my own self-worth. Some of this mindset came with age, learning my true value. I put theses in place to stop playing small 1. Own your power 2. Own your truth 3. Own your healing 4. Own your worth 5. Own your destiny.

Before I forget about the roller coaster tip, because I am writing a long comment on my experience with today’s topic. Bless you ladies for discussing this topic of playing small. But pro tip for riding a roller coaster for the first time when you have a fear of it, choose the one where the restraint bar comes over your shoulders and your feet are dangling. 1) You literally have something to hold on to for dear life while you scream and 2) Because it is over your shoulders, you don’t feel like you will be catapulted out to your death so you can semi enjoy the ride through your fear. I hate rollercoasters but rode them twice for my kids sake. I did one with the bar at your waist and that is a “hell no” to ever again, my life flashed before me. The other was over my shoulder, it was fun but also a “been there, done that, don’t need to do it again” type of experience.

I totally took the meaning in a different direction. I worked in a male dominant career and "played dumb" often to get jobs. No fear attached. I simply needed to work. Once I made a name for myself, they sure changed their tune. No pun intended. I retired as an orchestrator. 😊🎶💚

This whole podcast is speaking to my crochet business and youtube channel. For crochet I certainly small up myself. Crochet items cost! Especially just buying the yarn here in Jamaica, I end up paying myself so little for the labour because I want to keep cost affordable for customer etc. So I just make small items, and not stepping out to really see what I can do. Or I don't make items because I am thinking no one will want/buy this. I am going to challenge myself to make the items as that will push me to learn the marketing skills I need in this business to sell the items. In two weeks I am coming back to this comment and edit what I accomplished. ❤ thank you for this podcast

I need to bottle Tessans laughs. I would make a fortune! Tami and Tessan, you were speaking directly to me. I start school tomorrow in something I've never considered in my life, and I'm a nervous wreck! Everyone else has more confidence and hope in me except myself. I've been through a lot, and I just have to hold the bull by its horns and fight through this. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phillipians 4:13 KJV. P.S. The sound went low on the last round of the podcast.

I think tami and tessi tackle everything is a good name for the podcast. Also I enjoyed this week program tremendously. It spoke to me directly, I've always lived small, I hope it's a motivation for me to take risks, think outside the box, have faith in myself and God,, and just let my light shine.😊😊. Thankyou

Interesting about children know who they are from the time of birth, this goes back to the conversation of nature vs nurture.

Thanx so much to Tessie and Tami, for showing up for your KZbin Community today. I definitely appreciate it. I always get some kinda Inspiration out of your Authentic conversations. Big Ups to The Chin Sisters for having The Ovaries, to go after your dreams, even if yuh fraid. Fear can be so debilitating, so overcoming that fear, is no easy feat. Love Unnu.

Preach sister(s), preach. All well said and is so true. Great reasoning ladies. Tessanne, who first thought of you entering the Voice competition. Was it you or sis Tami? I was on top of the world when you were a part of the Voice, once again putting Jamaica in front of the world and did us proud 1000%. I just love you all MTM, Tami & Tessanne Tackles Everything (TTE). I look forward to every episodie of MTM and TTE.🥰

Tami,I was thinking the same thing that you need blinds behind the door that you can lower and raise. You might also need to lock the door when you are working until the children are old enough and know when not to disturb you. It’s amazing that Tessie sounds so good singing even though she’s sick. Love you both❤❤
