I got my $1200 LR3 delivered last night. And it is exactly what I was expecting. Pennsylvania truck with only 131k on the clock. Frame is surprisingly in good shape, surface rust in some spots. Right off the bat, needs a new battery, 2 new tires, a key fob, a serious deep interior detail to help eliminate the combination air freshener/cigarette smell. 😂 It runs, drives, and shifts. Suspension works with no faults. I’m about $2700 in so far and I think I got my moneys worth all things considered.

@yankeeezilla403 Copart does allow private bidders. The vehicles are listed as "No License Required". The downside is a refundable deposit is required to bid, and there are fees involved. There's a Total Bid Estimator on the page for each car that gives you the final price of the car with all the fees included. You get lucky sometimes on there, but there's risks involved, just like with buying anything from an auction.

I got my 89 classic in red with 54,000 miles. From a Rover collector friend for $900. It needed a fuel pump. Inside very nice. Bad part rust in all the right places. Had new tires on it. Run great.

3min 12 sec in, shot of the dash, doesnt show engine temp and the revs are up, possible high coolant temprature, could be the secondary thermostat issue, this is the thermo that controls the heat exchanger, coolant to engine oil, coolant to transmission oil, or the headgaskets fooked!, White RR is quite rare, looks like its been looked after, defo worth 1700!

@Addicted Motors need your input -- when maintained how long does the ZF 6-speed on the 4.2 SC L322s last? Got a 1-owner 2007 SC in my area with 180K miles, super clean and runs, full-service records, but wondering if the trans is near end-of-life expectancy without a rebuild soon. Thoughts?

It’s a good trans but tends to wear out sooner in the SC depending how it was driven

@@AddictedMotors basically a mom/family hauler car since new, always garaged. So ideal conditions. Let’s assume the worst, what would you say a rebuild on that transmission could reasonably run? Love the channel and appreciate the response!

I hope you will follow this and tell us what it went for I would like to see how close you are to your estimation does look like a very nice vehicle but high mileage and it will probably cost somebody $8,000 to take it to a dealer or somebody good to fix it but at that price for another 500 if purchased might be a good purchase
