Innovative repairs are fun to find! I once made a bushing out of an old socket on my old Mk2 Jetta. I wonder if anyone will ever find it

At least use a 10mm socket so it’s more of a “gift” to the future owner 😅

While watching you fighting the removal of the lines, it made me think of how I use my mighty vac to suck new fluid to each brake. It might also work to evacuate the lines of fluid for an operation like this.
